Your query is not clear. As such TTE have no power to allot any seats already alloted to the passengers and their names are appearing in the chart. The passengers holding tickets would not allow such to happen as they paid for the tickets and have confirmed reservation at the chart time and hence legally entitled to the alloted berth.
@ The TTE's have discretion in allotment of seats which remain vacant after train departure in view of reserved passengers not turning up. Plus TTE's have power to allow to the extent of un-booked seats... any unreserved ticket passenger on payment and allot any such seat.
The passengers in their own interests, are requested to pay and insist for a receipt.

No food cost is included in the fare of Jan Shatabdi trains. ( note that food cost is included in Shatabdi trains and not Jan Shatabdi trains).
@ Food items on 2052/Jan Shatabdi is served on order as per Rly menu card through pantry service of IRCTC. Payment of food items ordered as per Rly menu card rates seperately by the passengers.

Please Double and Electrify Pune-Miraj-Hubli rail line. This will help railways to introduce high speed trains between route. Also, while doubling, the ghat sections between Pune and Satara can be bypassed with tunnels similar to what has been done in Konkan railway. Bypassing ghats in Pune-Satara section will reduce the Pune-Bangalore distance by over 50 km.

Number of projects are enlisted in Rly's Vision 2020 document. The Railways vision is to expand the network - be it train routes, speed, guage conversion, electricification, seperate corridors for goods trains and such other number of rly projects...in all around (including Bullet Train) . The Vision is set to acheived in next 10 yrs what has been acheived in last 60 yrs. So the speed set is 6 times more. To give an example... The Rlys vision to cover 1000 kms guage conversion for every year for next 10 yrs.

Already there is a glaring example of idle railway line (after it's broad guaged) for last 5 yrs between Dhola Jn.-Mahuva Jn. in Saurashtra (Gujarat). After it's opened, only one train Mahuva-Surat is running and that too it's a weekly train. Such is the colossal of resources which has not been put to use even after it's ready. The concerns have from time to time been raised with Western Rly Zone but all in vain.

It is one direct train only. Both for passengers boarding at Amritsar and boarding at Chandigarh.
@ 2926 is called the main route of - Paschim Express (Amritsar to Mumbai Bandra Terminus).
2926A is called the slip route of the main route of Paschim Express. (Slip route means few bogies of a train from Kalka are detached at Ambala Cantt and attached to the 2925/Paschim Express. The route from Kalka to Ambala Cantt is called and known as slip route of Paschim Express.
Chandigarh falls on the slip route of Paschim Express.
@ Note that there is not shifting by passengers at Ambala station but bogies are detached from one train and attached to another train. That's all.

The chances are bright but calls for patience. Just at the chart timings on the journey date .. unutilised berths of specific quotas are released to general WL passengers and your number being the first in the WL queue, run a very very bright chances. Calls for no stress but patience.
Good wishes.

I think there are not 6 tickets but around 8-10 in I AC and note that these are only berths under general quota. What I talked of in my earlier reply is release of berths unused in Non-general quotas. There would mostly be almost equal seats under specified quotas. Those seats stand to increase your chances to bright level. Again Good wishes.

Post Jnaneseshwari Express train mishap and casualities and the problematic situation in Naxalite section of Rlys.... IR might have diverted the route for a short period. I have no sourced information about the nature of diversion - whether permanent or temporary. Fellow admins may be able to reply on that aspect.

<< WR's Novel Approach to Showcasing Best of Mumbai >>
@ Under the guidance of Shri. R. N. Verma, General Manager, Western and Central Railway, Western Railway has initiated a novel approach to showcase the best of Mumbai through attractive illustration Panels on its selected suburban stations. The latest creative action has been ensured at the historical suburban station of Bandra, as a part of WR's unique initiative of putting attractive display panels of major nearby landmarks,
@ Informative illustration panels are being put up as per Hon'ble Minister's declaration
in Rail Budget to develop 358 major Railway Stations of the country as Adarsh stations. On Western Railway's Mumbai division, 18 stations have been identified as Adarsh stations. Out of these Marine Lines was the first station, where illustration Panels were exhibited and now Bandra station has also witnessed these panels. A total of five illustration Panels have been displayed at the walls of the main entrance hall of Bandra local station at West side recently. These panels include coloured illustrations of Bandra-Worli Sea Link, Mount Mary Church, Band Stand, Carter Road and Heritage building of Bandra station. These huge display panels are not only having the asthetic value but also being appreciated as valuable sources of information about historical and geographical landmarks and various tourist spots of Mumbai. In near future, similar illustrations will be exhibited at remaining 16 Adarsh stations of Western Railway.

Very very bright chances.
Can wait upto 24.6.2010 for a progress. However bigger progress happens at the time just before chart preparation on the journey date.
@ You can also try out in Tatkal booking as a standby measure which will open on 25.6.2010 @ 8.00 am. (Tatkal too - there will be bright chances).
@ If you
get confirmed tatkal ticket, only thereafter cancel the present ticket and only Rs. 20/- will be the charge and hence full refund.
