agents, don't file wrong tdr's
now a days irctc is very strict. dont think that lot of tdr's are filed everyday ,may be in 1000, so how can irctc check all these.
i have seen many agents who have file wrong tdr once, there id was blocked by irctc
so ,agent beware
...

d'ont admitt cancellations after chart preprations because refunds are very late. if tte has wrongly gives the bearth to another persons showing the same person (which generally happens in one night journey's) and ticks him in chart.
even though your tdr is genuine, then als0 this will cost you your irctc membership
this mostly happen's that for short distances of 300 km tte's allot the vacant berth to some other person taking extra money and show the berth occupied by designated person

thank you for the informative postings about agents. then what should the agent do when the customer approaches after train departure. Should he take the eticket and ID of pasenger and file TDR at counter?
Good wishes.

which payment way is best for tatkal 8.am. tickets
As an agent of irctc ,i am a franchise holder of itz cash cards.it payment gateway is extremely fast during rest of the day
but at the time of moring tatkal booking it took 8 minutes to process. the data for tkt was entered on 8.01 am , the payment gateway opened at 8.04 and processing was so slow that ticket was made at 8.13am and that too waiting
...
agents should go for icici bank payment gateway. thought it deducts 11 Rs as transation charges but etkt (tatkal) comes at 8.07 am, i.e very fast processing
i have noticed that that thourgh irctc site is busy, also the payment gateway is extremly busy and slow to process transactions especialy ,itz cash payment gateway, at 8 a.m to 8.15.am

Yes Goyal Saheb. In fact if you look at the database of the various banks offering gateway services, Citibank is one that does not have such a large customer base using gateway services so early in the morning. But it asks for such additional information that time is lost. HDFC is certainly good, Done card was the BEST, but it has disappeared I don't know the reason.
Good wishes.

Murli ji,
I do agree with you. Citibank has no active customer base in most parts of India. It has branches only in large cities. And online reservation service is enjoyed by one and all. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, SBI all has a vast branch net work. State bank though has largest branh network and customer base, but it fails on IT service. Its net banking service is cumbersome. I have practically used all the four banks listed above, but have found HDFC Bank as the most preferred bank. Even many of my clients also recommend this bank.
Regards.

generate suggestive database of pnr analaysis
i.e. how much waiting can be suggestively cleared
i think agents at different places in india should make a collective data base on this site of how much waiting is cleared after chart prepration.
i in bathinda know that in punjab mail for sleeper class wl- 90 waiting gets cleared if the pnr is from bathinda to new
...
delhi and in 3ac wl-50 get cleared in punjab mail
but pnr's from bathinda to mumbai(cstm) with wl-2 don't get cleared
my observation is that pnr's of short distances, say 300 km, generally get cleared up to wl-100 but not long distances.
so it is relatively safe to issue such a waiting for short distances
i request the agent member of this site to prepair a suggestive database of wl pnr clearances' after chart preprations
it would help them to earn money also.

Sir, for ur info!!!!
Just check the quota of Punjab Mail from FZR-NDLS & NDLS-CSTM!!!
U find huge difference & this will make u predict that Punjab Mail, though depart from FZR, actually reborn from NDLS!!
FZR-NDLS Quota is high, as the same is been utilised from NDLS onwards!!
Now
...
24 coach, with 8 AC & actual quota starting from NDLS, will clear an kinda WL for FZR-NDLS (As they have to be empty otherwise till NDLS-BPL etc)
PS: The same logic isnt hold true for all trains, kindly check Toofan or Awadh Assam Express???????

don't entertain tdr's:agents beaware
i recieved refund from irctc.in the email it was written that aganinst your pnr _____ 3200 rs has been refunded,
i was flumboxed as to the amount of refund because i remember no such tdr has been filed within 3 months.
on enquiring from irctc
...
i was surpised to know that the tdr was filed 9 months ago . on further enquiring it was learnt that i was lucky to get refund within 9 months, lot of people have recieved refund after 2 years
the point is when tdr refunds are so late and agents dont' remember the face's of their customers ,then don't admitt cancellations after chart preprations
also ,irctc now a day's is very strict if a wrong tdr is filed.your id gets blocked. there is very strict scruitiny of tdr's
so, agent's don't file wrong tdr's
