The Idea is that organizations offering logistics services, will utilize the Special Freight Train Operator (SFTO) scheme to support their customers. The rakes will be privately owned by the SFTO or leased over to them for a stipulated period and are not put into IR's wagon pool. TATA steel would be running this freight to other SFTO terminals ( which are privately owned ) or non-SFTO owned private terminals subject to IR's approval.

but Mumbai has EMU's, which also means most of the passengers in WR's network are actually those who travel in locals :P I sometimes doubt a single zone can manage operations of entire Mumbai while also handling rest of MH, already CR is getting stretched thin here.
many people suggest that the region around Mumbai should be separated from from both CR and WR, and operated as single entity, that would finally allow them to focus on EMU's more without bothering about other areas, though that opinion isn't very popular with people who stay there. :P

yep, but it isn't a very popular opinion with people who stay here :P
there were rumours about WR's HQ being shifted to ADI in the early days of Modi rule, the people and political parties almost unanimously objected and the Railway ministry clarified that no such move was on cards.

Heavy waitlist seeing that this train has only 4 Sleeper coach why this much of waiting is allowed by respective zones. 740 WL issued for 4 coaches averaging 185 WL/Coach. Adding all the data 64 Cnf+16 Rac+185 WL= 265 Ticket issued per coach almost more than 3x of coach capacity. Inspite of that status is still not regret. Coach augmentation badly needed for this train .
Update 763 WL Issued in GNWL 86 WL in CK & 233WL in PQWL for a train with 4 SL

pointlessness, I'll say
if you are using a slot on a train atleast use it to full extent. PNVL anyways can't handle many train as a terminus, and this is how they waste the opportunity given :/
