Since May it was running with 20 plus 2 parcel vans but now reduced to 18 plus 2. The 2 additional GS coaches were already added since May.
Somehow I think 20 coach restriction of pitline doesn't apply to parcel vans as Vasco Patna SF runs with 20 plus 1 parcel van.

After a very very long time reached JSME on time.
Infact train was running 1.5 to 2 hours late in SWR and SCR but due to slack between MCI to G recovered delay.

Even today in return journey had a good run in SECR maintained a delay of within 45 minutes but got delayed in SCR but can still recover delay due to enormous slack in SC GTL section.

It can be speeded up by atleast 2 hours in BPL NZM section both directions.
As expected.

I don't know why Railways don't want to run a train like this with full 22 coach LHB rake. They could have easily increased SL coaches from 2 to 6 without reducing AC coaches simply by removing the 2 parcel vans and increasing CC from 20 to 22 coaches.
22 LHB coach pitline at Vasco is in construction since 2019 but SWR are in no hurry to commission it. Too bad situation.

VSG present pitline can handle max 20 LHB coaches only. 22 coach LHB pitline has been constructed almost 90% work done but after that works have stopped. As of now that pitline is used to stable spare coaches only.
VSG platforms can easily accommodate 22 coach LHB rakes. Ideal CC for Goa express would have been
SLR GS S5 to S1 PC M4 to M1 B4 to B1 A2 A1 H1 GS GS EOG.

They could have run a weekly Amrit Bharat train between Vasco and New Delhi for those SL and GS passengers instead of reducing AC coaches. Also I don't understand why no one has objections with those two parcel vans in this train with limited CC. 4 GS coaches plus one SLR are too much. By now Railways should have got rid of unreserved class in all M/E trains. GS coaches should have been reserved as 2S it would have largely helped to reduce UR passengers boarding SL and AC coaches.

I think 3E coaches should have been removed and replaced with 3AC as it's a long distance train. 3E coaches of this train could have been to overnight trains of SWR like VSG YPR, etc.
By pricing 3E fares around 25 to 30% less than 3AC they should have added them in short distance overnight and GR trains.

Amaravati express I don't think HCP are regular. It carries 4 slip coaches between GTL to VSG that's why it's not LHB converted yet.
I don't think it's least preferred train from entirety of Goa to Delhi. Maybe tourists will prefer Goa SK or Rajdhani but this is the only dedicated daily train between Goa and Delhi secondly Vasco, Savordem and Kulem people prefer this train first as no other train to Delhi goes beyond MAO.
Infact the automatic coach washing and second pitline at MAO is just waste of funds. It should have been VSG having 2 fully 22 coach LHB length pitlines with automatic coach washing facility.

SER is always ready to give LHB rakes to Amaravati express its only SWR and SCR who are the hindrance. As of now Amaravati is the longest running ICF train of SER.

It's not like that they first prefer Goa express. The afternoon passengers train is almost as good as cancelled. SWR cancels it every now and then.
Later VSG BZA frequency got increased to tri weekly and then 4 days when it got extended to HWH.
Railways should have cancelled the KCG slip when it got extended to HWH itself. The extension was poorly planned. It was a stupid decision to carry Goa Hyderabad slip coaches in a train which was the only rail connectivity from East India to Goa considering the number of migrants and tourists travelling in it.
Second in zbtt when they were cancelling link trains they should have cancelled this slip service too.

The train was also cancelled during various yard remodeling works at VSG twice.

Bhai Ameer log train mein travel nahi karte. Aur agar ameeron se itni hi nafrat hai toh unke tax ke paiso se jo bhi suvidhayein milti hai voh lena band kar do. Iss train ke AC classes mein bahut sare middle class aur upper middle class log travel karte the. Iske AC coaches full chal rahe the itne AC coaches Kam karne ki jarurat nahi thi.
In total 5 SL and 3 GS plus coaches were more than enough for this train. But keeping only one 3rd AC coach is a very bad decision.
