AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Jan 12 (TIWN): In a historical bold move, Suresh Prabhu led Railway Ministry speeding up Railway Network’s spread all over NorthEast. Long awaited Udaipur-Agartala passenger railway service to begin its maiden journey on Jan 20th as a part of trial run, NFR informed on Wednesday. Reportedly, the CRS inspection has been completed successfully in that mentioned route, whereas the 44.762 KM section from Agartala to Udaipur will witness the movement of passenger traffic between these two stations with the introduction of two pairs of trial special trains with the effect from 20th January, 2017. While the run will commence with train no. 05683 at 12 PM from Agartala. The regular service will be s follow : 1) 05683 DN trail special train will leave from Udaipur at 7.30 PM and will reach Agartala at 8.45 PM 20th Januray, 2) 05684 DN trail special train will leave from...
Agartala at 5.45 PM and will reach Udaipur at 6.55 PM on 21st January, 3) 05681 DN trail special train will leave from Udaipur at 8.10 AM and will reach at Agartala at 9.21 AM ON 21ST January, 4) 05682 UP trail special train will leave from Agartala at 6.30 AM and will reach at Udaipur at 7.40 AM on Januray 21st.
At present the train will run 6 days in a week (Except Sunday) and the later decisions will be taken based on traffic volumes.
In this regard the NFR Officials led by AGM Ratan Lal, ADRM Nayan Maligao are residing in Tripura and they will inspect various railway status of the state too.
Although, the officials reportedly expressed dissatisfaction after inspecting the tracks, buildings at Agartala Railway Station, but chances are high for a successful maiden journey from Udaipur to Agartala.
Indian Railways connectivity in India’s north eastern region will get boost with the launch of the first ever broad gauge goods trains to the landlocked state. The latest trend of work at Matabari railway station shows that days are not so far when people of Tripura can travel long distances in BG trains and get connected to rest of the part of the country.
In order to make the Matabari railway Station as perfect station, different works including extension of platforms, creation of new platforms and installation of new BG rail tracks had started a year back. The people are now eagerly waiting for the train service’s inauguration.

Indian Railway should also start Agartala- Kolkata trains via Bangladesh so that money, distance, time and diesel/electricity would be saved. I know it has been proposed and laying of track has already commenced, but it should completed fast and the trains should be started as soon as possible.

The government might hike rail passenger fares and freight rates after the budget to stave off mounting losses, a top official said on Tuesday, as finance minister Arun Jaitley said passengers should pay for services they receive.
Speaking weeks before he presents India’s first combined railway and Union budget in February, Jaitley made a strong pitch for the railways to outsource non-core activities such as hospitality.
“Railways got caught in a battle where populism prevailed over performance... the basic principle on which any commercial establishment is to be run is that consumers must
pay for the services they receive,” Jaitley told reporters.
The railway ministry official said the public-sector behemoth suffered an annual loss of Rs 33,000 crore on account of passenger fare subsidy but any hike announcement might come after the budget as it wants to assess budgetary support.
“We want the government to help railways bear the cost of the losses but so far, the finance ministry has refused any assistance,” said an official who did not wish to be quoted.

The ministry is also likely to move the cabinet soon, seeking approval for setting up a committee to recommend rates of passenger fare and freight.
India’s colonial-era railways carries more than 23 million passengers daily but creaky infrastructure, poor maintenance and shoddy revenue generation has hurt the world’s fourth-largest rail network.
Successive governments have backed away from reforms and especially hiking passenger fares, which is a politically sensitive topic.

As a result, the country’s largest employer runs many trains at rock-bottom fares and struggles to balance its books.
For example, for every Rs 100 spent on a rail passenger, the railways recovers just Rs 57 while the other Rs 43 is government subsidy. The poor financial health has taken a toll on rail infrastructure and accidents are common.
A number of state elections are scheduled for February-March, including the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh and Punjab.
The finance minister said to remain competitive against highways and airlines, railways would have to strengthen its performance and internal management system.
“The core competence of railways is to drive trains. Hospitality may not be the core competence of the railways and what is not within its core competence, the principle of outsourcing -- accepted the world over -- can be a logical addition,” Jaitley said.
He also dismissed Opposition criticism of the government’s recall of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes and said the Reserve Bank of India had enough currency for circulation.
“We were prepared. There has been no day when RBI did not dispense adequate cash to banks. Even today, RBI has more than adequate cash to last not just till December 30 but even beyond it,” Jaitley said.
Millions have lined up outside banks and ATMs since the high-value banknotes were scrapped last month but a cash crunch and frequent rule changes have irked the Opposition.
The finance minister also pitched for a shift to digital transactions, announcing small traders and businesses with a turnover of up to Rs 2 crore would pay less tax if they accept payments through banking and digital platforms. The presumptive tax on digital and cheque payments will be 6% instead of 8%.
Jaitley said the government will continue to incentivise the shift from cash transactions as there had been a 300-400% increase in digital and e-payments.

Difficulties in increasing non ac fares:
(1) Today hyperactive opposition is questioning each and every move/step/decision/policy of govt whether good or bad, whether liked by people/ rest of the world or not. Opposition wants country to be governed by UPA-2 policies in auto mode, the policies which had been summarily rejected by the Indian electorate in 2014.
(2) Almost every political party is ready to go to any extent to appease the huge chunk of vote bank i.e. the so called poor (about two third population having BPL cards and not paying income
(3) Political game played in the name of cheap travel for poor since last 15 years, by not increasing non ac fares for 10 years in a row in spite of severe inflationary pressures. It has made non ac rail fare increase, a taboo.
(4) Prolonged pampering has resulted in a situation where the so called poor thinks that classification as a poor, or having a BPL card entitle them to get every thing almost free. Any govt increasing non ac fare shall certainly suffer in the forthcoming elections, as for majority of population getting maximum subsidies/ freebies matter most and good governance, sound financial/military/technological developments etc matter lesser.
(5) After sacking of a an efficient RM just for increasing non ac fares by his own party has created a situation, where increasing non ac fares is considered as a political sin.
(6) Mr Prabhu intended to increase non ac fares after introducing better facilities/ amenities to paxs. But even then fare increase is very difficult, thanks to hyper active opposition & subsidy addicted majority of public..
(7) non ac fares have to be reasonably increased at some point of time, some one have to bell the cat or have to drink poison for the sake of IR/ India just like lord Shiva did for humanity in the legendary tales.

The Minister of Railways, Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu, in a programme held today i.e. on 14.12.2016 at Rail Bhawan dedicated to the nation the following services through Video-Conferencing :
1. Inauguration of Gauge Converted Rail Track of Bhojipura – Pilibhit

2. Flag off of Train No. 55382 Pilibhit-Bhojipura-Bareilly City Passenger on Guage
Converted Track of Bhojipura - Pilibhit

Minister of Communication (Independent Charge) Shri Manoj Sinha, was specially present to grace the occasion. Chairman, Railway Board, Shri A. K. Mital, Member Traffic, Railway Board Mohd. Jamshed, other Railway Board Members and senior officials were also present on the occasion at Rail Bhawan end. Smt. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Local Members of Parliament were also present to grace the flag off function at Pilibhit Railway Station.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Railways Shri Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu said that Pilibhit and Bareilly are large districts which have historic importance; and a large chunk of people commute between these two commercial cities for the purpose of their livelihood. He said that this new broad gauge line and new train service will benefit the daily commuters to a large extent. He further said that at present there are 64 ongoing projects in the State of UP which on completion will depict the image of UP as a most developing and leading State.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of Communication (Independent Charge) Shri Manoj Sinha, said that this was a long standing demand of the people of the region for a broad-gauge line between this section. He said that Uttar Pradesh is a State full of potential and an improved railway network will the help the people of UP to explore its full potential in order to achieve a good economic and social status.

The schedule including timings, stoppages etc. of the train service is as under:

The gauge conversion work for Bhojipura-Philibhit-Tanakpur Section (107.79 Kms) was sanctioned in the year 2007-08. The revised cost for the gauge conversion work is 450 Crore. Indian Railways introduces 01 pair of passenger train between Bareilly City and Pilibhit via Izzatnagar and 04 pairs of passenger trains between Izzatnagar and Pilibhit (total 05 pairs) on newly Gauge Converted Bareilly City-Bhojipura-Pilibhit section (39.03Kms). This will link Bareilly City and Pilibhit via Izzatnagar.

· There are 3 crossing stations and 2 halt stations between Bhojipura and Pilibhit. Bareilly and Pilibhit districts will be the direct beneficiaries of this project. Transportation of food grain, fertilizers in addition to passenger services is going to help economy of the region.
· With the rapid commissioning of Kanpur- Kasganj- Bareilly and Bareilly- Lalkuan gauge conversion projects, Bhojipura- Tanakpur section got cut off from adjacent sections. Therefore gauge conversion of this section became an immediate priority. Work on balance section i.e. Pilibhit- Tanakpur is also in progress.
· Railways have laid great emphasis on projects in Uttar Pradesh. There are as many as 62 ongoing projects in the state and the aggregate length of these projects is 6500 km.
· Outlay for projects in UP has been increased substantially in the last 3 years. The average annual outlay for projects in UP from 2009 to 2014 was Rs. 1100 Cr. This has been enhanced to Rs. 3400 Cr based upon average of the last three budgets. In 2016-17 alone, railways allotted Rs 5369 Cr for projects falling partly or fully in UP.

नए बजट में ग्वालियर से भोपाल तक के लिए एक नई ट्रेन शुरू करने की तैयारी की जा रही है। केंद्रीय रेल राज्यमंत्री मनोज सिन्हा ने रेलवे बोर्ड के अफसरों को ग्वालियर से भोपाल के बीच सुबह के समय इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस के संचालन की प्लानिंग तैयार करने के आदेश दिए हैं। इस ट्रेन को झांसी-बीना होकर चलाने की संभावनाएं तलाशी जा रही हैं। अभी ग्वालियर से चलने वाली भोपाल इंटरसिटी ग्वालियर से वाया शिवपुरी-अशोकनगर होकर चल रही है। भोपाल जाने वाले यात्रियों को इसका सीधा लाभ नहीं मिल पा रहा है। शेष पेज 2 पर
चलाने की प्लानिंग है

BAHOPAL: Union minister for railways Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday announced a train connecting Khajuraho and Indore. After inaugurating construction work for the second phase of Lalitpur-Singrauli project in Khajuraho, he said more services are being developed at Khajuraho railway station.
Earlier, a passenger train ushered in a new era in Bundelkhand, on Tuesday. Union minister for water resources Uma Bharati boarded the train from Jhansi and reached Chhatarpur via Lalitpur and Tikamgarh around 2.30 pm.
Later, she proceeded to Khajuraho from the same train where Prabhu and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated
in the programme held to inaugurate the second phase of Lalitpur-Singrauli railway line.

JBP doesn't get more 'OWN' trains than BPL because it's the HQ, rather because the number of 'PASSING' trains is way less than that of BPL.
The trains mentioned by you, along with Durgawati are 'ONLY' trains connecting JBP with Delhi. Comparing this with BPL, it has got an own Shatabdi and Bhopal Express along with 63 OTHER TRAINS for Delhi.
If not JBP, from where could they else originate to provide JBP connectivity with Delhi?

63 train nahi hain. some trains are not daily((28-29 are daily as on avearge).and total qouta in these trains is less than 1000 on daily(excluding bhopal exp,shatabdi) basis.like 12723 has 15 seat qouta(sleeper) frm bhopal to delhi.People are using Buses for Mumbai,Pune ans shirdi as Mumbai has one weekly(originating) train from Bhopal.Pune has None Bengaluru None.where as Jabalpur has Garibrath to Mumbai for Three days.Train To Bengaluru,Special train to pune in peak season.Gwalior and Bhopal is suffering due to NCR/WCR Structure.Jabalpur has 4 trains as on avearge to delhi but ,but No of coaches in these trains are not @24 coach each.same accomodation can be provided if we have only three trains with 24 -26 coaches. Shridham has 18 coaches only.

1. Yea GR is a great relief for Mumbai, but only for those 3 days of the week. Highlighting an incident over here, when I myself was required to reach Mumbai, GR was not available on that day. Hence, I had to book a seat in HW AC from BPL to LTT. This clearly signifies that although there are more trains from JBP to Mumbai, getting reservation is not easy (disregarding those 3 GR days).
2. I remember a special was run between HBJ and Pune as well, having RSA with JBP Pune. Don't know why was it discontinued.
2 dailies along with several weeklies from BPL for SBC. Contrasting, JBP has 1 daily (impossible to get reservation in Sanghamitra) and few weeklies already packed from UP/ Bihar. This implies one can clearly not expect reservation on days except that of JBP YPR.
4. Delhi bound trains cannot be integrated because:
a. They do not feed JBP only, rather three different sections of MP/UP.
b. Gondwana and MPSK are 23 coachers, while Shridham is 20 and not 18 as you mentioned. Now even if you try to increase their length reducing coaches those from Mahakaushal, only 6 coaches get consumed, while 12 are still left.
Hence, yea, I agree that GWL does really suffer, but not BPL

The actual figures are 18.6 for BPL and 12.6 for JBP.
Another noteworthy aspect over here is the current number of trains, which is 246 from BPL (disregarding the extra ones available from HBJ and BIH), but 170 only from JBP.

नई दिल्ली : केंद्र सरकार यूपी को नौ नई ट्रेनें देने वाली है। इनमें से पहली हमसफर रेल का संचालन इस साल नवंबर के अंत तक शुरू हो जाएगा। दुर्गा पूजा, दीपावली और छठ जैसे त्योहारों को देखते हुए 142 विशेष ट्रेनों का शुरुआती स्टेशन या तो उत्तर प्रदेश में होगा या उनका गंतव्य वहां होगा। इनके अलावा 550 विशेष ट्रेनें प्रदेश से होकर गुजरेंगी।

खजुराहो-छतरपुर-टीकमगढ़ ट्रेन इसी माह से शुरू होने जा रही है। कलेक्टर के अनुसार 18 अक्टूबर को मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान खजुराहो से ट्रेन को हरी झंडी दिखाने के लिए आ रहे है। इतना ही नहीं छतरपुर में रेलवे स्टाफ भी पहुंचने लगा है। छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर गुरुवार को कुछ रेलवे के कर्मी पहुंच गए है, जो अपने-अपने कार्य में जुट गए है।
गौरतलब है कि छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर पैनल रूम बनकर तैयार हो गया है और पूरे सिग्नल भी दिए जा रहे है। रेलवे स्टेशन में टिकट घर से लेकर सभी व्यवस्थाएं पूर्ण हो चुकी है। अब सिर्फ 18 अक्टूबर को ट्रेन आने की देरी है। डीआरएस के अनुसार अलग से ट्रेन की व्यवस्था करने में परेशानियां आ रही थी,
इसलिए फिलहाल झांसी-टीकमगढ़ ट्रेन को ही बढ़ा दिया गया है। यह ट्रेन टीकमगढ़, छतरपुर होते हुए खजुराहो पहुंचेगी, जहां से फिर इसी ओर वापसी होगी।
आ सकते है रेलमंत्री सुरेश प्रभु: डीआरएस एसके अग्रवाल ने बताया कि ट्रेन चलाने की सभी व्यवस्थाएं पूरी हो गई हैं। अब ट्रैक पर ट्रेन पहुंचाने की देरी है, जिसमें मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान के अलावा केंद्रीय रेलमंत्री सुरेश प्रभु और केंद्रीय मंत्री उमा भारती के आने की भी संभावना है, जिनके आने को लेकर तैयारी पूरी हो गई है। ट्रेन 18 अक्टूबर से रोजाना इस ट्रैक पर चलेगी। टीकमगढ़ से छतरपुर के लिए करीब डेढ़ घंटे का रास्ता ट्रेन के माध्यम से तय किया जाएगा, जहां वहीं मार्ग बस के माध्यम से ढाई घंटे में तय किया जाता है और रुपए भी अधिक देने होते है।
योजनाओं का क्रियांवयन करने के निर्देश
कलेक्टर रमेश भंडारी को जैसे ही सीएम के आने की सूचना मिली तो विभाग के अफसरों की तुरंत ही अर्जेंट बैठक बुलाई और योजनाओं का ठीक से क्रियान्वयन करने के निर्देश दिए। साथ ही उन्होंने कहा कि पूरी पारदर्शिता के साथ प्रत्येक बिंदु पर जानकारी अपने पास रखे। कभी भी कोई जानकारी मांगी जा सकती है। कलेक्टोरेट के सभाकक्ष में गुरुवार को 3 बजे से सभी विभागों के प्रमुखों की कलेक्टर ने बैठक ली।
फिलहाल छतरपुर में कम स्टाफ रहेगा
18 अक्टूबर से पैसेंजर ट्रेन रोजाना झांसी-खजुराहो के लिए चलेगी। इसमें झांसी, ललितपुर, टीकमगढ़, छतरपुर, खजुराहो तक चलेगी। इसी प्रकार वह वापस भी जाएगी। स्टाफ की व्यवस्था भी कर ली गई है। फिलहाल छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर कम से कम स्टाफ भेजा जा रहा है। इसके बाद स्टाफ मंत्रालय से पास होने के बाद पूरा आ जाएगा। बता दे कि इस रुट पर ट्रेन चलाने को लेकर अभी फाइल मंत्रालय में पड़ी हुई है। ट्रेन चलाने को लेकर अफसरों का कहना है कि 18 तारीख से ट्रेन दोड़ेगी।
टीकमगढ़-छतरपुर-खजुराहो रेलवे रुट पर ट्रेन चलाने को लेकर सभी प्रकार की स्वीकृतियां मिल गई है। रेलवे आयुक्त ने पिछले दिनों दो बार छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पहुंचकर निरीक्षण किया है, जिसकी रिपोर्ट भी आई है। रुट पर 75 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा की रफ्तार से ट्रेन चल सकेगी। टीकमगढ़ से खजुराहो तक कुल 123 किलोमीटर के रेलवे ट्रेक पर 75 किलोमीटर प्रतिघंटा के हिसाब से ट्रेन चलाने की अनुमति विभाग द्वारा दी गई है। वर्तमान में झांसी से टीकमगढ़ के बीच बायॉ ललितपुर पैसेंजर ट्रेन चलाई जा रही है। फिलहाल इसी ट्रेन का विस्तार किया जाना है। कुछ दिनों बाद यह ट्रेन झांसी से महोबा तक चलाई जाएगी। अभी इसी पैंसेजर ट्रेन को खजुराहो तक जोड़ा जा रहा है। ललितपुर से सिंगरौली रेल लाइन परियोजना के तहत झांसी-टीकमगढ़ पैसेंजर का संचालन शुरु किया गया था। बता दे कि यह ट्रेन झांसी से सुबह 6.50 बजे चलकर ललितपुर होते हुए 10.55 बजे टीकमगढ़ रेलवे स्टेशन पर पहुंचती है और अब इसी ट्रेन को बढ़ाकर खजुराहो तक चलाया जा रहा है।

60 साल का सपना आज होगा पूरा
60 साल से छतरपुर में रेल का इंतजार कर रहे लोगों की उम्मीदें अब पूरी होने वाली है। आखिरकार मंगलवार को खजुराहो से झांसी के बीच यात्री ट्रेन का उद्घाटन कर दिया जाएगा। बुधवार से निर्धारित समय पर लोग पैसेंजर ट्रेन से सफर करेंगे। इसके साथ ही नई ट्रेन के रूप में खजुराहो भोपाल इंटरसिटी की जल्द घोषणा होने की संभावनाएं बढ़ गई हैं।
इंटरसिटी के संचालन के लिए झांसी रेलवे मंडल की ओर से 6 माह पहले ही रेलवे बोर्ड दिल्ली को प्रस्ताव
भेजा जा चुका है। बोर्ड ने सैद्धांतिक सहमति भी प्रदान कर दी है। छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर आज मंगलवार काे ट्रेन आएगी, जिसमें 20 मिनट का कार्यक्रम स्टेशन पर आयोजित किया जाएगा। केंद्रीय मंत्री उमा भारती के आने को लेकर स्टेशन प्रबंधन द्वारा तैयारियां पूर्ण कर ली गई है। अब कल बुधवार से यात्रियों के लिए ट्रेन चलेगी और खजुराहो, टीकमगढ़, झांसी जाने के लिए यात्रियों को अब परेशानी का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा। कम समय और कम पैसों में वह अपनी यात्रा कर सकेंगे।
2014 में आया था पहला इंजन
छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर 16 जनवरी 2014 को पहला रेल इंजन आया था, जिसमें ट्रेक का प्रथम परीक्षण किया गया था। इसके बाद से ही शहर के लोगों की उम्मीदे जाग गई थी, लेकिन वह सपना पूरा न हो सका। अब दो साल बाद ट्रेन आज शुरू होने जा रही है। ट्रेन शुरू होने को लेकर लोगों को उत्साह बढ़ा है। इंतजार के साथ लोगों का उत्साह भी बढ़ता गया। अब इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस शुरू होनी है, तो लोगों में और हर्षोल्लास की स्थिति बनी हुई है।
फायर ब्रिगेड से हुई धुलाई : रेलवे स्टेशन पर सोमवार को फायर ब्रिगेड से धुलाई हुई। इसमें नगर पालिका द्वारा टैंकरों से पानी और फायर ब्रिगेड मशीन भेजी गई, जिससे स्टेशन चमक गया। स्टेशन प्रबंधक हयात खान ने बताया कि सोमवार को झांसी डिवीजन से कई अधिकारी पहुंचे है। वहीं मप्र रेल पुिलस भी पहुंच चुकी है।

इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस : बैठक में प्रस्ताव सर्वसम्मति से पारित
रेलवे मंडल झांसी की सलाहकार समिति के सदस्य विकास यादव ने बताया कि खजुराहो-भोपाल इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस के संचालन का प्रस्ताव मंडल की बैठक में सर्वसम्मति से पारित किया जा चुका है। इस प्रस्ताव के तहत खजुराहो-भोपाल के बीच खजुराहो एक्सप्रेस के नाम से रेलगाड़ी संचालन को स्वीकृति दी गई है। फिलहाल यह मामला रेलवे बोर्ड में लंबित है। बोर्ड ने खजुराहो इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस में लगने वाले कोचों की संख्या और उनके प्रकार पर काम शुरू कर दिया। साथ ही कोच फैक्ट्रियों में उपलब्ध कोचों के संबंध में जानकारी मांगी जा रही है। झांसी डीआरएम एसके अग्रवाल का कहना है कि बोर्ड ने खजुराहो-भोपाल इंटरसिटी एक्सप्रेस के संचालन के सैद्धांतिक रूप से सहमति दे दी है।
क्षेत्र के लोगों के 19 साल बाद सपने साकार
छतरपुर में लोग वर्ष 1955 से रेल की मांग की कर रहे हैं। लाेगों के आंदोलन आैर कई सर्वे होने के बाद ललितपुर-सिंगरौली प्रोजेक्ट को वर्ष 1997 में मंजूदरी मिली थी। शुरुआत में इस प्रोजेक्ट की लागत 925 करोड़ थी। 541 किमी के इस प्रोजेक्ट के तहत ललितपुर, टीकमगढ़, छतरपुर, खजुराहो, पन्ना, सतना, रीवा, सीधी, सिंगरौली और महोबा को जोड़ा जाना था। इस पूरे प्रोजेक्ट को तीन चरणों में बांट दिया गया था, जिसमें पहले चरण में ललितपुर से सतना तक ट्रेन पहुंचानी थी। दूसरे चरण में महोबा-खजुराहो और तीसरे चरण में रीवा सिंगरौली तक रेल शुरू करनी थी। इस पूरे प्राेजेक्ट की आधार शिला तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी बाजपेई ने 1998 में रखी थी। खजुराहो में आयोजित कार्यक्रम में तत्कालीन रेलमंत्री नीतीश कुमार, मप्र के तत्कालीन सीएम दिग्विजय सिंह शामिल हुए थे। आज 19 सालों के बाद छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर ट्रेन शुरू की जा रही है, जहां से अब रोजाना पैसेंजर ट्रेन निकलेगी।
Á आज पैसेंजर ट्रेन 51818 ललितपुर से सुबह 11 बजे चलेगी।
Á ट्रेन टीकमगढ़ दोपहर 12.10 बजे आएगी।
Á टीकमगढ़ रेलवे स्टेशन से केंद्रीय मंत्री उमा भारती दोपहर 12.25 बजे हरी झंडी दिखाकर उसी में सवार होकर आएगी।
Á टीकमगढ़ से छतरपुर तक सभी स्टेशनों पर 5-5 मिनट के लिए ट्रेन रुकेगी।
Á छतरपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर दोपहर 02.35 बजे ट्रेन पहुंचेगी, जहां आमसभा कर दोपहर 02.55 पर खजुराहो की ओर रवाना होगी।
Á ट्रेन दोपहर बाद 03.45 पर खजुराहो पहुंचेगी, जहां केंद्रीय मंत्री,रेलमंत्री और सीएम का कार्यक्रम होगा।
Á ट्रेन खजुराहो से वापस 07.15 पर चलेगी, 07.55 पर छतरपुर आएगी, जिसमें केंद्रीय मंत्री उमा भारती साथ आएगी। छतरपुर में ट्रेन से उतरकर सड़क मार्ग से वापस जाएगी।

This festive season, Khajuraho will get an alternate rail route that will drastically reduce travel time to the world-famous tourist hotspot from western and southern India.
According to railway sources, the first train is expected to chug on the 165-km-long new route, built at a cost of Rs 793 crore, between Lalitpur in Uttar Pradesh and Khajuraho by the end of this month.

Hazrat Nizamuddin-Khajuraho Express (via Jhansi and Mahoba) runs daily connecting the temple town with Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur. There is also a tri-weekly train that connects Khajuraho with Varanasi and Kanpur.
The commissioner railway safety (CRS) has already given the go ahead to run the train on the new route. The distance between Lalitpur and Khajuraho via Udaipura, Tikamgarh, Mawai Halt, Khargapur, Teela Halt, Rampur Halt, Isha Nagar, Chhatarpur and Basari Halt will be covered in five and half hours.
Union minister and Jhansi MP Uma Bharti is likely to inaugurate the first Jhansi-Khajuraho passenger train service on the route at Lalitpur while Railway minister Suresh Prabhu and MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan are expected to flag off the return journey of the same train at Khajuraho by the end of this month.
The inauguration of the route had been deferred at least two times.
According to sources in the North Central Railway (Jhansi) and West Central Railway (Jabalpur) this line is part of a Rs 5,100 crore larger project that proposes to connect Lalitpur-Satna-Rewa-Singrauli (via Mahoba and Khajuraho). The project was sanctioned way back in 1997-98.
Local tour and travel operators in Khajuraho said, once operationalized, the new rail link will increase tourist inflow to the town by 30 to 40%.
