Book from PRS you can save the Bank charges.
But you need to burn out more Petrol/Diesel which is more costly than then Bank Charges. Choose wisely :P

Dear IRI member i m vry much tensed... i have booked the ticket online from hwh to hyderabad & from HYD to HWH.. i 4gt that you cant board in train if your ticket wont gt cnfirm.... i tried to book online 2day morning in tatkal but as usual irctc sucks, i dont know when IR will understand the problem of Public in Tatkal Booking... dear friends please tell me what should i do now... i have 77 & 78 waiting list..... i m vry much worried abt dis.... what sud i do now... please suggest me... i have givin my pnr here Entry# 716600...... please guys support me please....

Kindly Somebody enlighten about the latest Tatkal procedure?? At what time does it starts at the Railways Stations(Ticket Counters) and Also at Home? i.e. IRCTC. Details Sought !!

Welcome to Tatkal Family.
Opens at 10 am sharp on Net as well as in counters. If you are at home booking via IRCTC , even ifwake up at 8 am no probs. But if u intend to go to PRS make sure u go to a less rush counter and make sure u reach there by atleast 6 am to get into a decent position in counter.
IRCTC will be dead slow during the hours from 10 to 12 and IF U R LUCKY u will get a ticket confirmed via IRCTC

10 am rule came in existance in July 10th 2012 . As I was in the Queue for booking the ticket.
If u be in PRS or in home, Tatkal starts at 10 am only. and for agents it starts at 12 am only and not at 10 as they cant book during that period

12 am no one can book via IRCTC as it will be closed for works from 2330 hrs to 0030 hrs
