जागरण संवाददाता, लखनऊ : अब लखनऊ से जयपुर के बीच यात्री ट्रेन डबल डेकर में भी सफर कर सकेंगे। इसका टाइम शेड्यूल शुक्रवार को उत्तर रेलवे मुख्यालय ने जारी कर दिया है। सप्ताह में दो दिन चलने वाली टेन जयपुर के लिए किस दिन चलेगी, इसका निर्णय अभी नहीं हुआ है। अफसरों का दावा है कि जल्द ही इस पर भी निर्णय हो जाएगा। 1रेलवे अधिकारियों के मुताबिक लखनऊ जंक्शन से सुबह 7:50 बजे डबल डेकर रवाना होगी जो शाहजहांपुर, बरेली, मुरादाबाद, गाजियाबाद होते हुए निजामुद्दीन स्टेशन शाम 4 बजे पहुंचेगी। ट्रेन सराय रोहिल्ला से जयपुर के लिए शाम 5:35 बजे रवाना होगी जो जयपुर देर रात 10:05 बजे पहुंचेगी। वहीं जयपुर से ट्रेन सुबह छह बजे

Hi traveling by 12262 HWH-MUMBAI CST Duranto (Friday Departure from HWH). I crossed 12859/Gitanjali Express, three times in the same journey.
1st crossing at KSO Khemasuli, that was Thu Dep from CSTM reaching Fri.

While coming from DHN side to BWN, there is big bridge being constructed. Looks like a Cable Stay bridge (similar to San Fransisco, Golden Gate Bridge). These bridges are expensive to build and maintain, as compared to a normal bridge and are made only where span between two support pillars is very large. Any idea why use this for a normal Road-Over-Rail bridge? Does the railway line below obstruct construction of regular pillars. Under such circumstances, there is a slight alignment change in the tracks to avoid such expensive constructions. Any ides?

This way, train regular run never get obstructed while u create the bridge!! Pillar & Beam & all takes much of effort along with traffic block, while Cable Stay means to create pillar @ extreme edge, slide the beam n connect via Cable...traffic almost remain restored!!

Did NDLS-BPL by 12002 Bhopal Shatabdi. Was tracking speed on GPS, not the normal Android one, but on Nokia/Microsoft Lumia 1520. Grazed 160 briefly. Was doing 158 for sometime, managed to get a photo of the same.What a fantastic ride. The trip so, far has been very nice. Far better ten what I had dreamed of. With reference to my Pan India trip, ref Entry# 1775204,
Today traveled by 12125 Pragati S/F from Dadar to Karjat via Thane-Panvel. Nice journey. Had the best seat of the house. Seat No. 50 in C1. That was front facing window, at the center table. That gives an option to lay out your stuff & stretch out your legs.
Got down at Karjat and transferred to 12123 Deccan Queen. As per plan, wanted to park up in Dining Car, despite my CC Booking. Luckily had a booking in C3, just 2 compartments

away. Stood in front of the DC, which is the 9th Compartment from the engine (going towards Pune). C3 is 11th. The train stops for at least 5 mins, for coupling the Bankers. The whole idea was that if DC was full, as suggested by one of the members, I could move quickly to C3. Door of the DC was closed, so had to go through the next compartment (D3) and the vestibule. Was able to grab a window seat of my choice. Ordered an bottle of water. For the first time, I was served a really chilled one. Then ordered a Cheese Toast and Fries. Was good. A tad too oily for my taste, but was nice. Then a Chai. Wonder of wonders, I was served in a proper Cup and Saucer. Considering that the guy i front of me ordered coffee, which was served to him in a paper cup.
All this jugglery to experience a different route and the Dining Car Experience. Did just that. Amazing......
Only one point, after I finished the French Fries, I gave the paper dish to the waiter, for disposal. This idiot, promptly took it from my hands and threw it out from the window behind me. Before the paper plate must have hit the ground, I verbally hit that guy big time. Was some scene, but I don't give a damn. Somehow, controlled the urge to verbally abuse that guy. All said and done, he was in uniform and I have the right to complain in the register, but I am not allowed to abuse him.

When will be a more civilized and cultured nation?

did not collect tips. The cleaning guys came along. This was another first.
Ice-Cream served was not good at all. Starting form Kolkata, I was expecting some Bengali Sweet. That was not to be. Ice Cream served was Vanilla flavor, not a known Brand and tasted very funny. I think, for the first time in my life, I did eat Ice-Cream.
