dsourav895~ 715 blog postsThe first Rajdhani Express of IR, 12301 Howrah-New Delhi Rajdhani Express a.k.a. the 'Kolkata Rajdhani' completed her 55 Glorious Years of Service in 3rd March, 2024 (3rd March, 1969 - 3rd March, 2024). The eventful day being a Sunday, it became a recurrence of the Golden Jubilee day in 2019. Therefore, 12305 Up Howrah Rajdhani Exp via Patna got the honor in place of 12301 Up via Gaya !! We, the rail enthusiasts, organised a small celebration which included light decorations on the locomotive & rake and a cake cutting ceremony.

In one of the PDFs named statusofprojectssurvey, in point iv on pg 12, they have mentioned in red as
'Due to land constraint at Malad (East),Cut connections for all existing 5 lines (4 suburban & 1 mail express) is required to be done at both Malad South and Malad North.'
What does it mean?

What does it mean?
It means that the 6th Line at Malad Station will be laid on the West Side instead of the East side as elsewhere, so the new line at Malad station will become the New Down Slow line, by cutting lines at both Malad North & South.
Also, Upcoming Harbour line will be made Elevated at Malad as west side lans would be already used for 6th Line along with Platform for the same.

But if simply they demolish the buildings at the east side of Malad station to make way for the 6th track.

There was a discussion for extension of TATA-ERS upto ALLP but wasn't approved further.
I think what the document says is since the plan is to extend DHN-Allp to KCVL hence Porbandar KCVL can be extended to TVC. Ultimately it will be the mech wing which will also need to decide if maintenance slots are available or not
If there will congestion problem at KCVL, it should be extended further upto NCJ / CAPE by adjusting the TT of 13352
Why cape or NGL without travellers? All trains from Nagercoil get passengers from TVM and Erkm. There is no enough of turnaround time to extend beyond Trivandrum.
No congestion issues at KCVL since only Secondary maintenance will be happening for this train. But return timings depart from KCVL will be 3am. I don't think it will be of much use for passengers....so most likely will run empty till Allp.
