Wait, why does this train go in the reverse direction to Bangalore instead of coming straight to LKO?If connecting Bangalore was such a priority, why not just start from there. In either case, it's day timings b/w Hubbali and Bangalore means it's not an optimum train between those 2 stations.
If they had to keep this schedule, maybe start from Hubbali at late evening, reach Bangalore in the morning and then continue the journey.

Yes 3rd ac now a days, I don't expect much more as gone are those days when even on standing platforms window glasses were cleaned, but respective cdo should atleast take care of basics like washroom tap workings handwashes etc. My adjacent coach is A3 and washroom was equally pathetic maintenance wise. This train had a good image in my mind earlier but this time points would be down.quite possible whole rake needs an overhaul.
Mahananda has become a good train now few months back I travelled from pryj to dli. Coach condition was good but too many unauthorised passengers after kanpur and enroute stations was a major problem in that train. Amrapali is way better in everything but timings and schedule is bad.
A new bypass line is in progress at lalitgram. Could not take pictures but I saw. And rigorous work in progress for dbg bypass. After that few trains should originate from katihar via purnea fbg. That will develope the most neglected region in effective way. That route is awesome but needs to be straightened.
NJP CDO only takes cares of WB trains in fact the special trains of WB tooπππThis trains get usually delay between GKP-NDLS section which makes its non prefable train for NFR paseengers so they choose MAHANANDA above this
Which class were you in Mahananda Exp? Are unauthorised pax even an issue in higher classes like 2A?

Saw this train on Platform# 3, announcements were made specifically that on that day this train was diverted via Solapur route passengers were told to take note of same.
Average Occupancy, average maintenance.
Mysuru CDO didn't even bother to put large TB on EOG or even change small TB on EOG- it still had the TB of it's RSA Mysuru...
