Sub :- Difference between Western Railway Central Railway With reference to above mentioned subject, I want to state that I am using Mumbai suburban Local service for more than 8 years. I am mainly using service of Central railway. I want to state that I am very proud of Mumbai local service Indian railway for having such huge operative network which is used by millions of people daily. As you know, Mumbai local is divided mainly in two parts i.e. Central Railway Western Railway. However, There is differences between two railways. arrival of train is installed in Western railway many years ago whereas In Central Railway, It was introduced few years back. Other example of such discrimination is planning of introduction of A/C local, Testing of bombardier locals, removal of old AC/DC rakes from services, conversion from DC to AC, Introduction of MRVC Siemens rakes etc. When It comes to both railways, Western railways always gets favourable treatment whereas Central railway is always ignored or always considered second when it comes for new features. Passengers at both railways pay equal fare per Km. Hence; This type of discrimination is not warranted. There may be various reasons for this issue but passengers have to suffer because of this bias. Hence, I request you to look into above issue do needful to bring both railways at par in all terms. Thanks Regards

Western Railway has got route kilometer of 60Kms. Under suburban services between Churchgate to Virar. Where as Central Railway Suburban system is vast and complex stretching from CSTM to Kasara via Kalyan , CSTM to Karjat via Kalyan and up to Khopoli, CSTM to Panvel on Harbour Line and Thane to Nerul /Vashi on Trans Harbour line and also from CSTM to Andheri via Wadala. Therefore, any new Technology / System is normally tried and implemented on Western Railway, followed by Central Railway. As far as Indian Railways is concerned, there are 17 Zonal Railways and no differentiation is done by Indian Railway Board while deciding adoption of new Technology /System on various Zonal Railways. New Technology/ Systems have been implemented both on Western Railways and Central Railway sooner or later.

Grievance Description : I received reply for my query vide query registration no. MORLY/E/2015/02970. I agree that, Central railway suburban system is comparatively complex than that of Western railway. But, In my opinion, This couldn’t be the reason to give priority to WR every time. I have given some examples where services and new features are first introduced in WR and then in CR. There is no single example where new feature is first introduced in CR and then in WR except conversion of all 9-car trains to 12 coach trains. Further, If I take example of Advance time indicator was introduced few years ago in WR and then after Gap of few years, It was introduced in CR. Passengers in both CR and WR pays same fare per km but every time WR passengers enjoys priority over CR. Hence I request you to look into matter from policy aspect and request you to try to improve the balance and growth of WR and CR suburban network.

Grievance Description : Dear Sir, For the convenience of daily passengers and seeing the load on LJN-GKP Intercity, its high time to introduce a Jan-shatabdi from Kanpur (CNB) or CPA to Gorakhpur via LKO in the morning and evening time. The proposed TT can be like this. /train/23358 and reverse /train/23357. . Also a morning intercity to GKP from LJN is need of hour so the proposed TT for LJN-GKP morning Intercity can be like this. /train/23360/906/539 . Please look on these as this has possible benefit to the zone as well as passengers. Suggestion: If LKO-BJU, GWL-BJU can be diverted via FD then the traffic of the Lko-GKP via GD will be minimized without affecting these trains TTs. Hoping for some positive response. The routes/timings of trains are finalized after taking into consideration the demands, traffic potential, availability of path/platforms enroute, destination points, other operational feasibility and convenience of the majority of the passengers particularly at the originating/terminating points. Any change in routes/timings will be highly resented by the present users and not feasible due to operational exigencies.

Grievance Description : Dear Sir, Suggestion Regarding 12555/6 Gorakhdham Express. Gorakhdham Express used to run for more then 1000kms b/w Hisar-GKP. It is hauled by Diesel locomotive and used to run in a super congestion route NDLS-CNB route. Due to congestion in this route it delayed 1hrs on average at CNB only and further upto LKO-GD and vice versa. Is it possible to run this train via Moradabad with having almost similar timings for both up and down to make it decongest and proper diesel link route ? Please check the feasibility and if possible reply with a positive answer. I have also prepared a New TT for this train as LKO-GKP route is double and high mps now and trains on this route can be speeded up. TT for 12556. Details : thanks for giving positive time table of gorakhdham express. you have made up the time table taking into account that only gorakhdham expres will be running on this sectin where as it is advised that 5 trains are running towards moradabad fro 2030 to 2140 hrs and the section between lucknow and moradabad has maximum permissible speed of 100 kmph whereas the section between lucknow-kanpur-new delhi is of 110 kmph. this matter has already been discussed in railway board and northern railway and was not found feasible as the train will be losing its superfast character also.
