Maliguda Tunnel : Maliguda Tunnel is the highest broad-gauge railway tunnel in India and the second highest in the world. This tunnel was built 10 years ago with Japanese collaboration.This long tunnel is situated on the top of hill in Maliguda village of tribal state Orissa. Rahtang Tunnel :This tunnel is proposed to be built under the Rohtang Pass in the Leh-Manali Highway at Himalaya Ghats. The 8.8 km long tunnel will be th e longest road tunnel in India. It is expected to reduce the distance between of Manali to Keylong by over 43 km.

में बनने वाले टनल : चनैनी से नाशरी तक 9 किलोमीटर लंबी टनल बन रही है। बनिहाल से काजीगुंड 8.45 किलोमीटर तथा बनिहाल से काजीगुंड तक 11 किमी लंबी रेलवे टनल बन रही है।
कई किलोमीटर का सफर कम होगा : बस और ट्रेन में 10 किलोमीटर तक टनल में सफर देश में कहीं नहीं है। इन टनल को देखने की उत्सुकता अभी से देखी जा रही है। राज्य में आने वाले पर्यटक जब बनिहाल से गुजरते हैं तो रेल टनल की जानकारी लेना नहीं भूलते।
इन टनल के बनने से कई किलोमीटर की दूरी कम हो जाएगी। ऐसे में टूर एंड ट्रैवल एजेंट भी पर्यटकों को अधिक टूरिस्ट डेस्टिनेशन का पैकेज दे सकेंगे। मंगलूरिया टूर एंड ट्रैवल के मनोज गुप्ता का कहना है कि जिन पर्यटकों के पास वक्त कम होता है, उनके लिए यह टनल फायदेमंद साबित होंगे।
ऐसी तकनीक और कहां दिखेगी : ये टनल भारत और कई अन्य देशों की प्रसिद्ध टनल बनाने वाली कंपनियों के सहयोग से बनाए जा रहे हैं। टनल में ऐसी तकनीक इस्तेमाल की जा रही है जो देश में कहीं नहीं इस्तेमाल नहीं की गई।
टनल में रोशनी का ऐसा प्रबंध किया जाएगा जहां से गुजरते ही सफर करने वालों को सुकून मिलेगा। दुर्गम पहाड़ों के बीच बनाई जाने वाली ये टनल अपने आप में नायाब होंगी।
पर्यटकों का समय बचेगा
पर्यटन राज्य मंत्री नासिर असलम वानी ने कहा कि टनल बनने से कई किलोमीटर की दूरी कम होगी। खासकर चनैनी से नाशरी तक बनने वाली टनल से पत्नीटाप में और कुद के बीच लगने वाला जाम कम हो जाएगा।
इससे एक तो दूरी कम हो जाएगा इससे वक्त बचेगा। जाम नहीं होने से और ज्यादा समय बचेगा। वहीं रेल टनल देश की सबसे लंबी रेल टनल है। ऐसे में यह भी आकर्षण का केन्द्र रहेगी।
