You can keep it on your berth and adjust yourself without causing disturbance to other passengers. You weigh all your baggage including the TV and pay excess luggage fare if required before entering the platform. As a courtesy it is better to keep the TTE informed about the total luggage carried by you. If your luggage exceeds the free allowance, there is every possibility you being harassed at your destination. Usually the railway police personnels and low level railway staff totally unconnected with this work concentrate on passengers with such big carton boxes. You will be threatened with levy of penalty.
