Completing two years of successful delivery of its Movia metro cars to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the Bombardier Transportation Company had delivered over 450 metro cars to the Delhi Metro railway since July 2007 and would be delivering 88 more by the end of this year. “Bombardier Transportation had signed contracts with the DMRC in July 2007 for manufacture of 538 cars,” said a Bombardier press statement. The delivery of the remaining cars would help the Delhi Metro deal with the ever-increasing rush on the expanding network.“The fact that we have successfully delivered over 80 metro trains to the DMRC in two years and met expectations of one of India's most significant trendsetters in the metro rail industry is a source of great pride and achievement to us.
