Wonderful News. Was waiting for this since long time. This route will provide a major relief to Mumbai-Indore passengers. I feel this project should be given priority by IR and should be completed soon. It will also another option for Mumbai-Delhi Passengers and Indore-Delhi Passengers.
Double electrified with 160kmph seems highly improbable, coz of lack of funds
First they should pay more attention on KNW-IND conversion. This will also laid one more route to Mumbai!!! and helps to reduce traffic between IND-BCT via RTM!!!
once KNW INDB is converted to BG, trains can ply between Mumbai - Indore in less than 12 hrs
Yes I think more focus should be on completing Indore - Khandwa gauge conversion ASAP. On side note I have one more thought that NHAI and IR should work together on such projects, Few years back only we got the NH3 revamped with ghat sections flattened, I think if both departments work together, such project could have been done earlier.
