Wow that's really great ....RB is really working on these...I had given this suggestion somewhere in October/November 2015 in the portal but little did I knew that RB was much ahead than it...

earlier in 2015 I sent a email to Rly Board regarding this matter titled DEDM[Diesel Electric Dual Mode] Engines
classifications will be like
WDEP= Broad Guage Diesel cum Electric Passenger.
like wise WDEG for goods & WDEM for mixed use
WDEP= Broad Guage Diesel cum Electric Passenger.
like wise WDEG for goods & WDEM for mixed use
Diesel cum Electric engine cost have been increased by 50%.So the operation cost increases and facilitates fares are increased
.Our Indian Railways always are thinking of fares increases in any way.They doesn't things to keep the fares in the present level with only inflation increases .
