This Railway Line projects relived the over congested Shoranur - Palakkad-Erode-Salem - Tiruppattur/ Hosur- Bangalore routes.
It ensured additional North - South reliable route which is not in Storm Zone and Monsoon torrential rain disturbances .

This route can start new trains like Kochi - Pune via Mys-Ubl(not via Bluru) etc.
Always the shortest route trains are good wich saves time,money with less fares and relieved congestion in the existing route
