NWR plans to start survey in next financial year for doubling of Ajmer-Udaipur single line section which is currently under electrification.
It will take a very long time for the doubling to be actually completed as a large number of doubling surveys have been completed and awaiting implementation or are under implementation.

Ajmer Udaipur is getting electrified also but it is useless in my opinion because it will become isolated route
Jaipur Ajmer is diesel. Ajmer Palanpur Mehsana is diesel

first priority must be given to Ajmer Ahmedabad and Kota Chittor then do Chittor Ajmer and finally chittor Udaipur

The reason for Jaipur -Ajmer being not electrified is Single Line between Bandikui-Alwar which is now being doubled. Anyways The work is in full speed in Marwar-Ajmer section.
