In the year 2016-17 2855kms new rail lines laid @ 7.82 kms/day which is quite impressive as compared to just 4.16kms/day of UPA2, & 4.05kms/day of UPA1.
But target of 13/19/25 kms/day for next three financial years appear too high, keeping in view poor financial condition of IR.
