Flexifare/Suvidha ki fazihat to nahin uthani padti.
Abhi to kewal baatein hi shuru huyee hai
Jab tak basic kiraya badh nahin jaata, yakeen karna mushkil hai.

20 saalon se koi RM non ac class ka basic fare (ghaate wali non ac )
badhane ka saahas nahin dikha paaya hai
Agar basic kirayaa (atleast 10%) badhaa dete hain,
to RM ko veerata ka medal to banataa hi hai!!

Dear friend, I respect your opinion (first 5 lines),
you have every right to put forth and highlight any thing happening wrong in IR.
but the C* word in the last line, is inappropriate for a neat and clean forum like IRI, and this should be withdrawn.
Else indiarailinfo shall also gradually become a blogspot with filthy language like many others.

Stopping ACII is a very bad decision.
(1) There is a class of passengers which is sizeable in number who hates travelling in ACIII due to lesser space and privacy. By stopping ACII, IR shall force these paxs to revert to airlines. And once they get addicted to much more glamorous air travel, they shall be almost out of radar of IR.

to double its traffic in a few years with as 75 new no-frill airports in tier 2 & tier 3 cities through out India are being made operational with no frill low cost airline. (Air passenger traffic is growing @ 20-23% pa since last 2-3 years as against about just 2% of rail traffic)
(3) Instead the fare of ACII may be slightly increased (say 5-10%) as there is just a marginal loss in ACII class. Similarly non ac fare should be rationalised to bring down losses.
(4) To make ACII, ACC, ACI profitable and to reduce losses in non ac classes, IR need to make a critical study of all the trains being operated and optimize them by tinkering with routes, frequency, extension, augmentation (especially ACIII coaches), surcharge for safer/costlier/faster LHB coaches
