* Thanks to the activist Mr. Gaurang Damani who have taken all the pains to study the passenger's demographical shift. Bigger thanks to CR for giving due importance to the info/study-report submitted by a citizen.
* Northward demographical shift in Mumbai is at least 3 decade old phenomenon, which is a result of the geographic feature of Mumbai City which is covered by sea on 3 sides (W,S,E), naturally growth only option for the city to grow was N-ward. After construction of thane creek bridge & opening of CSTM-Panvel suburban line did growth spread Eastward (Navi Mumbai) also.

IR has all the requisite traffic & other data which a citizen does not have access to. IR should be able to better assess the traffic demand and optimise the train operation with respect to number of trains, their timings and destinations to fulfil the demand.
* If the data is readily available to public, active citizens and railway enthusiasts of our nation may come up with much better plans for IR.
