The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced that metro services will extend across the entire National Capital Region (NCR) as preparations for Phase Five begin. three corridors—Janakpuri West to RK Ashram, Majlis Park to Maujpur, and Tughlakabad to Aerocity—covering 65 kilometers and expected to be finished by March 2026. The 2.5-kilometer section from Janakpuri West to Krishna Park Extension will start operating next month, and the 12.31-kilometer Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor will be operational next year. The completion of the Majlis Park-Maujpur line will create Delhi's first ring corridor, with metro services running in both directions circularly. Despite delays due to COVID-19, land, and tree-cutting approvals, construction is on track. New corridors, Lajpat Nagar to Saket G Block and Indraprastha to Inderlok, are also being developed. The Rithala-Narela-Kundli corridor is awaiting final approval from the central government. There is no progress on the planned metro corridor between Delhi Airport and Gurugram, but it is considered essential and will materialize eventually. DMRC is outsourcing metro operations to private agencies, which reduces operational and maintenance costs. While increasing frequency is suggested due to pollution concerns, Kumar emphasizes that metro trains are expensive and frequency is sufficient on heavily used lines. The Delhi government is purchasing nine-meter buses for last-mile connectivity, and 1163 e-autos are already operating from various stations. Preliminary preparations and surveys for Phase Five have begun to address the growing transportation needs of NCR.

Four ke projects almost complete hone wale hain, jismein teen corridors — Janakpuri West se RK Ashram, Majlis Park se Maujpur, aur Tughlakabad se Aerocity — 65 kilometers cover karte hain, aur March 2026 tak complete hone ki ummid hai. Janakpuri West se Krishna Park Extension tak ka 2.5-kilometer section next month se start hoga, aur 12.31-kilometer Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor next year operational ho jaayega. Majlis Park-Maujpur line ke complete hone se Delhi ka pehla ring corridor ban jaayega, jismein metro services dono directions mein circularly chalega. Delhi Airport aur Gurugram ke beech planned metro corridor mein koi progress nahin hai, lekin yeh essential hai aur eventually ho jaayega. DMRC private agencies ko metro operations outsource kar raha hai, jis se operational and maintenance costs kam hote hain. Pollution ki wajah se frequency badhane ke suggestions hain, lekin Kumar emphasize karte hain ki metro trains bahut expensive hain aur heavily used lines pe frequency sufficient hai. Delhi government last-mile connectivity ke liye nine-meter buses purchase kar raha hai, aur 1163 e-autos alag alag stations se operate kar rahe hain. NCR ki badhti hui transportation needs ko address karne ke liye Phase Five ki preliminary preparations aur surveys shuru ho chuki hain.
