The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) have restricted the installation of overhead power cables due to this interference. The AAI has expressed concerns about the potential impact on aircraft radar and Instrument Landing System (ILS) operations. Former MP Prathap Simha suggested induction shielding as a solution to minimize interference, but if that proves impractical, he proposes realigning the railway track. Induction shielding technology has been successfully implemented in Chennai and Delhi airports. The survey for the relocation or underground passage is estimated to cost Rs. 21.99 lakh and is expected to be completed within 45 days.
