Only for Railway projects these useless and jobless environment/socialists will oppose which actually causes less harm to environment compared to highway

Useful
To be frank with you most of these buggers are all in for the money but there are a few people with the dubious agenda of opposing every development project coz they don't want to see the country progress irrespective of the government in power.
There were huge protests when SWR was doing Madgaon Sanvordem track doubling people sat on the tracks and all that nonsense but even then SWR commissioned that and later on protests of small scale still continue but SWR commissioned two more sections this year and another one will be commissioned by the end of this year and protests do continue. Then there is also a strong anti coal transportation movement going on too which has some

genuine concerns too like many times the tarpaulins covering the coal trains are torn and passenger trains not getting restored, etc. but these can be solved by the Railways using better quality materials to cover the coal, Railways restoring pre covid era trains and also introducing some more important trains and beside this the central government has to think of viable alternative to coal which in my opinion is nuclear power.

Untill and unless nuclear power is not given due attention and more plants being sanctioned the demand for coal will keep on rising to keep up with the growing energy demand of a growing economy. Also nuclear energy is free of greenhouse gases and other pollutants. Nuclear mix with hydro, solar and wind power is the way forward with reducing coal usage.

There was also opposition to the highway widening project along with doubling and power line transmission projects.
Besides some people in Goa are also opposing new flyovers built in Goa.

Near my small village there is an old bridge which is too old and in bad condition and most importantly it's on the highway connecting Vasco, Madgaon with Belgavi via Ponda

many times me and my friends discuss that hope government constructs a new bridge here before this one collapses and this year the government came up with a project to construct a new one but again the usual suspects came to oppose citing absurd reasons like the bridge will not benefit public but it will benefit only industries. 🤦🤦
Don't understand if they are genuinely fools or agents of chaos.

These buggers are habitual liars most of their children are working abroad in the Europe or on cruise liners and when they are in Goa they go for fishing and hardly any one cultivates any crops there. I live in a village nearby to it just around 6kms and have never seen any one farming there. They will enjoy first world infrastructure in Europe and US but want Goa with bad roads and railways. Hypocrites of the highest order.
