This omission led to concerns about residents of Balajinagar, Dhanakwadi, and Bibwewadi being left without easy access to the Metro. MahaMetro has now submitted a proposal to the Pune Municipal Corporation to add a Balajinagar station, which would increase the project cost by ₹200 to ₹300 crores. The responsibility for the additional cost remains unclear, and the request is currently under review.

inaugurate kiya hai, lekin Balajinagar, jo ek bahut densely populated area hai, ko ismein shamil nahin kiya gaya hai, jisse access ke baare mein chintaen badh gayi hain. Shuru mein Swargate-Katraj Metro line mein sirf chaar station tha: Swargate, Gultekdi, Padmavati, aur Katraj. Is plan mein Balajinagar, Dhanakwadi, aur Bibwewadi jaise important areas ko nahin shamil kiya gaya, jisse in areas ke residents ko Metro se access nahin milega. Is galti ka pata groundbreaking ceremony ke baad chala, jisse yeh sawal uth raha hai ki aise important station ko original plan se kaise chhod diya gaya. MahaMetro ne ab Pune Municipal Corporation ko Balajinagar station add karne ka proposal diya hai, lekin isse project ki cost ₹200 to ₹300 crore badh jayegi. Is extra cost ka zimma kisse hoga, yeh abhi tak clear nahin hai aur yeh request approval process mein hai.
