October 7, 2024, by Manoj Arora, the Commissioner of Railway Safety, Central Circle. The inspection included the railway track, overhead equipment (OHE), station buildings, major and minor bridges, level crossings, and yards. The doubling project on this section will improve traffic flow, particularly for coal transport, as the Katni-Singrauli line is a busy coal route. The project will also facilitate passenger travel, improve operational efficiency, increase revenue, and boost economic development in the region.
