Agree that there can be some passengers who may not prefer evening/night arrival in Konkan. But for them we now have JS, Tejas, Mandovi. But for the ones who can manage, they will atleast have an option to start from Mumbai in afternoon and complete the journey till Konkan by evening/night.

It is suggestion if Ltt-Mao ac double decker was start from CSTM instead of Ltt then It will also superhit. I know because of some low heights bridges between Kurla Cst the Ltt-Mao double decker CSTM shift is not possible until the rebuild plan Or raise the heights of bridges with support of powerful monster hydraulic cranes. If this done then it will help to lift the speed restriction. also It will allow the all roller stocks with higher height coaches & locomotives.

Morning departure from Pune roughly around 6:30 or 7 will make DD reach PNVL at about 8:45 or 9 am. Departure form PNVL between 9 to 9:30 with train moving with the speed similar to Matsyagandha or LTT KVCL Garib Rath, the train can easily reach it's destination SWV/MAO before 6/8 pm. In fact PUNE MAO DD EXP with KHED, CHI, RN, KKW, SNDD, SWV, THVM, KRMI halts can be a great hit as punekars don't have dedicated connection to Goa and can also be used by the Mumbaikars as reaching PNVL at 9 am in the morning is not a big deal for a person living in any part of Mumbai. This is the great alternative for Mandovi Express.
