How was patronage. I feel the train runs almost full always! I have been travelling ERN HYB route since many years. This delay was of course due to diversion. The train otherwise is very punctual and needs to be speeded up really with SF status. Badly needed for this only train from Kerala to Hyderabad. We need a faster train :)
26 hours from Cochin to Hyderabad is amazingly long journey...

to make it a Superfast, the run time has to come down to 28h 45mintes (for exact 55kmph stamp) from the present 31h 5min ..a whopping 2h 20minutes of speedup...i dont think either SR not SCR ready for such a massive scale up or to bother about its fate ...
but patronage wise, it always runs packed end to end most of the times and gets good preference from intermediate paxs too ...
expecting at least a weekly SF between these two cities in the near future ... a new and additional connection...

That day as the train was diverted, it was running half empty and the patronage on other days was very good
yes it runs packed end to end
it needs to be speeded up .........
a wonderful journey and memorable one

At least a SF weekly train from ERS (Cochin) can be started to HYD. There is high demand. I have several friends who now divert to Air Asia, SG etc since a 2 month early booking in flight gets a fare of Rs.1800/- & a person going in 3AC will strongly think about flight option with a fare difference of only Rs.300 or so.
Moreover there is high benefit to save 2 days (a working person surely needs a 2 day leave if travelling on weekday!) as Sabari starts from HYD at 11.15AM & reaches next noon at 1.20Pm to ERS!! This is a huge waste of time considering money factor if booked early.

Yeah ..evenbif speed up sabari alsobwont serve the purpose is what I am trying to convey...Rather than trying to speedup...better asknfor a new SF category train so that people will have a alternate connection as well ..
