Wassup Railfans ❤️ Today I'm gonna talk about Katni Grade Separator:- This is a dope railway station called Katni Junction 🚉 where railway lines from Bina, Manikpur/Prayagraj, Singrauli, Bilaspur, and Jabalpur all converge. {Check out the pic of Katni Grade Separator} So there are trains coming from a total of 6 directions. This makes trains chill here for many hours, especially the freight trains. To fix this issue, the railway started the plan to build a grade separator here. Let's say a train is coming from Jabalpur and needs to go towards Manikpur, and at the same time, another train is coming from Bina and needs to go towards Singrauli. In this situation, one of the trains will have to stop. This is causing problems especially for the freight trains, and it's taking longer for the goods to reach their destination. 👀 In a while, the railway is gonna build a *CHORD LINE here, but due to the high load, they were still facing some issues. That's when they thought of building an overbridge/grade separator here. This way no train will have to stop for hours, and they will reach their destination on time. As per the video shared by the Ministry of Railways, the estimated cost for the project is Rs 1,248 crore. The viaduct is gonna be three times longer than the one in Kerala. Reports say that the bridge will benefit both goods and passenger trains and will pass over Katni Yard to connect with the Bina line. The viaduct will have eight rail-over bridges on two existing rail routes and also six other bridges built over rivers. The contract for the construction has been given to L&T. Jaise koi train Jabalpur ki taraf se aa rahi ho aur use Manikpur ki taraf jaana ho aur usi samay koi train Bina ki taraf se aa rahi ho aur use Singrauli ki taraf jaana ho toh is sthiti mein kisi na kisi train ko rukna hi padega.
Khaaskar malgadiyon ko is sthiti se samasya utpann ho rahi hai aur samaan ko apne gantavya sthan tak pahunchane mein vilamb ho raha hai.

Kuch samay baad railway dwara yah *chord line ka nirmaan kiya jaata hai parantu jyaada load ki wajah se abhi bhi samasyaon ka samna karna pada raha tha.

Iske baad railway ne yahan par overbridge/grade separator banane ki sochi. Jisse kisi bhi train ko ghanton tak rukna nahin padega aur woh apne gantavya sthan tak samay se pahuch jayegi.
Isse samay ki bachat hogi aur fayda bhi.
