The Kamakhya bound Capital Express gradually begins to accelerate out of the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary after clearing a permanent speed restriction of 30 kmph imposed due to Elephant Corridor. Loco doing the honors is a customary WDP 4D from Siliguri (SGUJ).

a collective approach will do.......superfast implementation of doubling of new coochbehar-new jalpaiguri route.......transfering some of the non-stop train in that sector to the main line..........some underpasses,some trees to be planted that elephants hate.......effective co-ordination between concerned departments.....installing CCTVs at elephant zones to track movements......running DEMU trains to connect every place with APDJ/NOQ,NCB,SGUJ,NJP........effective utilisation of this picturesque route by running Green tourism trains......beauty,abundance of flora,fauna should always increase the brand equity of this region,should increase the popularity of this area in international and national arena.
