12530/Lucknow Jn. - Patliputra SF Express

The Lucknow - Pataliputa Express is seen standing. Not the best choice for travelling. It's like Gomti Express except for less stops. One could opt for AC 3 Tier but train often gets rescheduled. Also, a very bad arrival time at Lucknow when coming from PPTA.For someone going to Patna, a better option is Gwalior-Barauni; provides an overnight alternative upto Hajipur. Sadly, not Patna yet. IR could theoretically run an 8 coach VB on this route via Sultanpur-Varanasi-Patna. It might get passengers wanting to go both to Banaras and Patna.Oh, and an image of Lucknow City, a station in old Lucknow.

The Avadh Assam express originally ran as Lucknow - Guwahati. I am not sure if the route was fully BG or MG then, maybe some other member might know. That's the reason why despite being pushed to the western edge, it still retains it's original name "Avadh" due to it's original originating point of Lucknow. The second image is of Lucknow City, a curving station in old Lucknow. Only few trains stop here.
