began on Monday afternoon. A large number of RPF personnel were deployed for the operation. The railway had issued notices prior to the removal. During the demolition, local residents protested and requested that the temple wall be spared, offering to dismantle it themselves. Former Vice-President of the Ramgarh Cantonment Board, Sardar Anmol Singh, along with BJP leaders Rajeev Jaiswal and Deepak Mishra, were present. Singh contacted the KD-RM of the Ranchi Division to request a halt to the demolition drive until after Holi.

The police arrived at the scene and questioned the villagers before taking possession of the body. The police are investigating the matter and haven't been able to identify the deceased yet. The sub-inspector, Sanjay Nayak, said that the deceased appears to have been mentally unstable and may have fallen into the ditch during the night, resulting in death. The exact cause of death will be determined after the postmortem report is available.
