The MoU between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and the Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) at the maritime meet in Mumbai on Thursday to set up a dredging harbour at Antarvedi in East Godavari is expected to improve connectivity between East and West Godavari districts and generate of more jobs in the days to come.
The Rs.1,800-crore dredging harbour-cum-training centre is also expected to take care of the maintenance of the dredgers at work in the ports being maintained by the government and private companies.

In order to clear extra rush of passengers, SCR will run four special trains between Tirupati and Narsapur as detailed below:
Train No. 07942 Tirupati-Narsapur Jansadharan Special Train will depart Tirupati at 19:00 hrs on 29th November and 6thDecember, 2015 and arrive Narsapur at 07:00 hrs on the next day.
In the return direction, Train No. 07943 Narsapur-Tirupati Jansadharan Special Train will depart Narsapur at 08:15 hrs on 30th November and 7th December, 2015 and arrive Tirupati at 20:25 hrs on the same day.

GRP to arrange decoy parties to nab the accused
The Government Railway Police (GRP) are suspecting the role of some railway staff in series of thefts reported in air-conditioned coaches on running trains.
Robbers looted the passengers in first class AC coaches in Secunderabad-Narsapur Express on November 18 and 19, and escaped with jewellery and cash, worth about Rs. 15 lakh. In both the thefts, robbers got down from the trains at Guntur.

The State government on Tuesday sanctioned Rs 55 crore as part of the 50 per cent share it has to contribute to Railway projects to the South Central Railway.
State government had agreed to give funds to the South Central Railway for completing certain projects expeditiously in a meeting between the Chief Minister and SCR general manager in February. Government has granted funds as per the agreement reached in February for the doubling projects between Guntur and Tenali, between Vijayawada and Gudiwada and between Narasapuram and Bhimavaram. Total cost of these projects is estimated at Rs 1,140 crore and government’s share is Rs 570 crore.
