If
1. you're heading to Pune,
2. you're on a train going to Mumbai,
3. you don't have a reservation for a train from Mumbai to Pune,
4. and you want to save about 2 hours,
Then you can get off here at Nasik Road where most trains stop. Just exit the train station and walk a short distance of 20-30 meters, and you'll reach the ST bus stand. From here, buses to Pune (except Shivneri and Sheetal buses) come and stop for 5 minutes. Even the 'hirakani' semi-sleeper buses come here to fill their empty seats if they haven't been filled up at the main bus stand. The main Nasik ST bus stand is around 8 km away from the railway station. If you want to travel in an AC Shivneri or semi-sleeper, spend around 80-100 bucks and take an auto to get there. But make sure to haggle properly because unlike in Pune, there are no strict prepaid rules here.
But be careful during Saturday and Sunday evenings because it's rush hour and when people are heading home for the weekend. So the crowds will be huge.

2. tu mumbai jaane wale train mein hai,
3. mumbai se pune ka koi reserved ticket nahi hai,
4. aur tu lagbhag 2 ghante bachana chahta hai,
Toh tu yahan nasik road par utar sakt hai jahan bahut saari trains rukti hai. Phir bas railway station se bahar nikal, thoda chal 20-30 metre, ST bus stand tak pahuch jayega. Yahan se pune ke buses, shivneri aur sheetal buses ke alawa, 5 minute ke liye rukti hai. 'Hirakani' semi-sleeper buses bhi yahan aati hai agar unko main bus stand se passenger nahi milte hai, toh khali seats bharne ke liye yahan aati hai. Nasik ST bus stand railway station se lagbhag 8 kilometer door hai. Agar tu a.c shivneri ya semi-sleeper mein safar karna chahta hai, toh auto se 80-100 rupees lagake pahunch ja. Auto lena se pehle sahi rate mein bhandhkarle, kyunki pune ki tarah yahan prepaid rule nahi hai.
Lekin savdhan reh saturday aur sunday ke shaam ke waqt, kyunki uss samay bhid bahut zyada hoti hai aur logon ko ghar jaane ka waqt hota hai. Toh bhid bahut jyada hogi.
