Magnificent fort is located in Chitradurga. It is very beautiful. Worth visiting. It is maintained by archeological department. Famous ruler of this fort is Madakari Nayaka. There is a passage in which a person can crawl and go inside. This passage is named after heroic lady Obavva as "Obavvana kindi" who protected the fort from enemy attack. SBC (Majestic) you can board the first few coaches of the Hubballi passenger 56515 at 07:45 AM. These few coaches are detached at Chikjajur-JRU and it goes to Chitradurga as 56519. - - For those who want to travel to Bengaluru, can board the train 56520 at Chitradurga at 11 AM. This train gets attached to the Hubballi-Bengaluru passenger 56516 at JRU at the rear. If the Chitradurga portion is crowded you can get down at JRU and board the Hubballi portion of the train which has some 17-18 coaches. - Attached is a pic of the time table board at MWM which reflects the train numbers.
