Buses towards kumbakonam and chidambaram will start from Old bus stand( 2.5 KMS from railway station), mini buses are available from MV station to old bus stand.Bus towards Karaikal,thiruvarur will start from new bus stand (less than 1km from old bus stand).If you are going towards Kumbakonam you can board bus from kaveri nagar (600 mts from MV station) ,autos available to kaveri nagar which will cost you 30rs , mini bus going towards bus stand from Station will also stop here (Express bus towards Kumbakonam will not stop here), frequency of mini bus is less but if a train arrives then definitely you can expect a mini bus within 5 minutes.
