Once the train leaves JU, there are people on board who come around to take dinner orders and serve snacks, tea, and water bottles. The dinner is loaded at Merta Road and these people get off at Ren. The food is alright, but after Ren, there is absolutely nothing available, not even a bottle of water. Plus, all the stations after that are really small and nothing is available at night.

Train shuru hone ke baad JU se log board karte hain - dinner ke liye order aur snacks/tea/water bottles ke liye. Dinner Merta Road se load kiya jata hai, aur ye log Ren par utar jate hain. Khana theek hai, Ren ke baad bilkul kuchh bhi nahi hai (ek bottle paani bhi nahi) aur saare stations raat mein bahut chhote hote hain jahan kuchh bhi nahi milta.

If ya gonna be on this train, make sure ya try the PC food. It's gonna set ya back about Rs120 and the food is freakin' awesome. Ya get 3 Chapati, Dal, Mix Veg (Dry), Chhole, Rice, Dessert (Local Sweet), Pickle. Lunch is served after Surat and Dinner 'round 9 PM.

Agar tu is train se safar kar raha hai, toh PC food zaroor try karna. Iska kharcha kareeban Rs120 hoga aur khana sach mein zabardast hai. Ismein 3 Chapati, Dal, Mix Veg (Dry), Chhole, Rice, Dessert (Local Sweet), Pickle shamil hai. Surat ke baad lunch serve kiya jata hai aur shaam 9 baje tak dinner.

No food or water at Tuticorin station on 10/12/2019. Be careful, get some snacks before you enter the station. Only catering from Madurai starting at 11:00 PM. Sad.

Tuticorin station pe 10/12/2019 tak koi khaana ya paani nahi mil raha, station mein jaane se pehle khaana lekar jaana. Bas Madurai se 2300 baje tak catering hai, sad!

When I saw the food and tasted it, only one thought came to my mind: "What is this, and why is this?" I have never eaten such disgusting food in my life. They called it matar paneer, but it was like dry vegetables in rice. They called it daal, but it was just water. The paratha was as rubbery as ever. The taste was completely flat, not even salt was there. Thankfully, the pickle pouch saved me.

Jab maine khana dekha aur uska swaad liya, mere dimaag me bas ek hi baat aayi "kya hai ye, aur kyun hai ye"? Isse wahiyad khana maine zindagi mein nahi khaya. Matar paneer ke naam par majak, chawal mein sukhi sabzi. Daal ke naam par paani. Paratha rubber jaise the. Taste bilkul flat, namak tak bhi nahi tha. Thanks to pickle pouch jo mere liye bachaav ke roop mein aaya.

Pantry run by Neelam caterers, fam. They don't charge extra for anything. The breakfast, meals, and water bottles are priced as per IRCTC. For breakfast, you can choose between veg and non-veg options for 30 and 35 rupees respectively. In meals, they got the standard casserole meals, but they also have a customized thali option, ya know. Here's the deal: Veg thali is 100 rupees and includes 2 parathas, dal, rice, mix veg, paneer masala, pickle sachet, salt & pepper sachet. Chicken thali goes for 120 bucks and has chicken instead of paneer. I don't remember exactly, but the fish thali is around 120 or 130 rupees. It's got fish instead of paneer, bro. Now let's talk about dinner on day 2. I asked for some chicken chilly and paratha, which came at a cost of 130 rupees. That included a plate of chicken chilly, 4 parathas, and a pickle sachet. And yo, they also had veg and egg biryani on the menu. For dessert, I had mishti doi from Mother Dairy for 25 rupees. Gotta admit, the quality and taste weren't top-notch, but the quantity was alright. I'd give the food a rating of 2.5 out of 5. They seriously need to step up their game, man.

Pantry kuch bhi mehenga nahi lete hai. Nashta, khane, pani ki bottle ka daam IRCTC ke fix kiye huye daam ke mutabik hota hai. Nashte me standard veg aur non-veg options hai, veg ke liye 30 rs aur non-veg ke liye 35 rs hai. Khane me standard casserole meals ke saath unka customised thali option bhi hai.
1. Veg thali - 100 rs (2 parathe, dal, chawal, mix veg, paneer masala, pickle sachet, salt & pepper sachet)
2. Chicken thali - 120 rs (paneer ki jagah chicken hai)
3. Fish thali - 120 ya 130 rs (exact yaad nahi) (paneer ki jagah machli hai)
4. Dinner me day 2 me, maine 130 rs me chicken chilly aur paratha manga tha, jisme chicken chilly ka plate, 4 parathe aur pickle sachet tha..
Isske alawa veg aur anda biryani bhi hai.
Mishti doi (mother dairy) 25 rs me tha.
Quality aur taste theek nahi the. Quantity to theek thi.
