People got fooled by believing Train Number 16787/788 Mangaluru Central-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Navyug Express service! Ministry of Railways cancelled this train permanently by considering this as slip train to Tr No. 16787/788 Tirunelveli-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express which was actually slip train which used to get merged with MAQ-SVDK Navyug Express at Erode Jn. People have been cheated! This train should be resumed either via same route or should be made to run via Madgaon or via Hassan,Hubballi,Pune from Mangaluru Central to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra. This train used to be the link between South India and North India especially a link between Coastal Karnataka,North Kerala and North India.
Heard Railway Board has taken steps to reinstate this train ..Details awaited..
