We, the Railfans of Malda and fellow Rail Enthusiasts gave a tribute to the 13053 Kulik Express at MLDT on the occasion of its Last Diesel Run.
A very small initiative with big hearts.. couldn't arrange any better tribute as a two man team and with association of "rare" friendly and helpful officers. Thanks to Malda divisional officers for their immense support.

why only this train? This is the last surviving train to have a traction change at MLDT, and in daylight timings. We had to arrange every bit of decoration at the very last moment, barely 17 hrs. before the occasion. Regardless of the scorching 43°c heat, we completed the decoration just in time. The value of this event will be seen more prominently after 5 years or so, when diesel traction (mainly old alcos) will be reduced to a fragment.

We thank our supporters who stood by us from the very first moment and those who helped us throughout the day. We will forever remember their contribution. Without their cooperation, this event could not have been possible. Happy Railfanning!
