Yes but that did not happen with actual time table. Arrives SNSI with slight delays only even with regular time table. My point to convey here was that, a very late run is covered today with a average speed of 60 kmph against regular average speed of 55 kmph.

This train is Jam packed always. They saw heavy traffic when its running via Yelhanka so probably SR decided to make this train go via Bengaluru.

Many North Karnataka people don't have connection to Chennai (except Gulbarga, Yadgir nd Raichur) Bijapur is famous for Gol Gumbaz , Badami for its Buddhist caves and most important Hampi(near Hospet/Bellary) is for Vijayanagar empire and Virupaksha temple and so more.

Also an Penta weekly train to Varanasi from Chennai using GK slot but via Gondia Nainpur route, an biweekly train to Tirupati to Varanasi via VSKP, BBS, ADRA, Gomoh, Gaya Pt DDU also be useful.
