1. This can be made daily train - will enjoy good patronage.
2. For the benefit of passengers departure time can be delayed by 1 or 2 hours.

The future is for more fast and convenient Intercity trains like this. Instead of 2- 3 days long running ones. IR should plan to connect limited stops intercity trains between all major cities like Chennai, Bangalore, CBE, ERS, HYD, CBE etc. And more local trains should connect the villages and small towns.
Can't delay departure.. The line is chocked till Salem at that time
Friday from YPR will obviously lead to good patronage. As per the timings this will just follow Kurla-Coimbatore express. In the return direction from CBE to YPR it would have been good if it had a Sunday departure.
Noticed running almost empty (from Salem). As destination time is odd, may be people will not prefer.
Useful train. CBE departure timings can be delayed by 2 hours. Also, need a train on Sunday from CBE to YPR.

YPR - BYPL is single line with good amount of curves, so speed is restricted. BYPL - KJM has always been 90kmph if not wrong.. post WFD there is 105 kmph i guess

I don't understand how special trains run by SWR become hit and then get regularized
because of timings and places they are joining. other zones start specials for useless destinations. One more is ypr-pvr.
