पूरे पूर्वी क्षेत्र में डीज़ल द्वारा यात्रा करने वाले यात्रियों को भारतीय रेलवे की इतिहास की एक अद्याय में शामिल कर दिया जाएगा, हमारे पडोसी देश के उस दिन तक "विकसित" न हो जाए।

Sad news, guys! Today was the last time the Kolkata-Balurghat-Kolkata Tebhaga Express will be running on diesel. It's the only regular mail/express train in Eastern Railway that still used diesel until today, except for the international ones going to Bangladesh called Maitri Exp and Bandhan Exp. The up train already saw its last diesel run yesterday, and the down train had its final run today. Check out the pic of the 13162 Dn Balurghat – Kolkata Tebhaga Express, which was powered by the first ever WDM 3D of DLS Howrah (#11204), on its last end-to-end diesel run and approaching Khana Junction. It's the end of a glorious era!
