# Announcement in local languages is being made frequently about trains to various directions and facilities made available for them.
# N.F. Railway authority has deployed adequate security staff at platforms, Foot Over Bridges, entry gates, level crossing gates and nearby railway tracks to streamline the rush of pilgrims for proper crowd monitoring.
# Railway para medical staff has been deployed alongwith basic medicines to provide medical assistance to the pilgrims. A doctor would be available in the station round the clock. Packets of ORS have been stocked for distribution among people who suffer from dehydration.
# 2(two) additional windows have been opened at PRS / UTS centre at Kamakhya station. All ticket counters (reserved/unreserved) will be manned round the clock during the mela period.
# The PRS centre at Kamakhya temple will work in two shifts instead of one.
# Stoppage time of many important trains at Kamakhya station has been increased by 2 to 5 minutes to provide adequate boarding/de-boarding time to pilgrims. Attachments of additional coaches in few trains are also being planned.
# Proper sanitation at stations will be maintained by deploying additional staff with necessary materials on round the clock basis.
# Un-authorised vendors will not be allowed and strict monitoring will be done.
# Sufficient numbers of additional drinking water taps for pilgrims have been provided at station premises.
# The approach of the Kamakhya station will be kept free from any encroachment during the period for ease of movement of pilgrims.
# Volunteers from Railway Scouts and Guides will be deployed round-the-clock to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims during boarding and de-boarding of trains.
# Proper illumination of the entire station and surrounding areas are being made for ease of movements of huge numbers of pilgrims.
# A 24-hour control room is being set up at the station which will be manned by staff and senior officer for proper monitoring. RPF Helpline number 182 remains functional 24 x 7.
The N. F. Railway, working in tandem with State Govt authorities, is sparing no effort for smooth conduct of the mela. The railway also requests the public and all stakeholders to maintain discipline and decorum in railway station premises so that travelling pilgrims do not suffer due to overcrowding and all amenities like toilet, drinking water etc. are accessed by all.
