Humsafar is or can be a faster train there is no doubt about it but in most cases I have seen that 16319 Kochuveli - Bengaluru Humsafar Express trails Vanchinad Express and it overtakes Vanchinad Express mostly at Karunagappalli as according to the TT I believe...... Vanchinad and Humsafar travels neck to neck closely...... Vanchinad being a slow train with more stops and Humsafar the exact opposite..... But the damage is received by the Humsafar Express only as it has to halt a few times since a slow train is on front of it and thus it moves slowly till the time for the scheduled overtake comes.....Thus making the Humsafar express late most times.... Better to make the Humsafar Express start from KCVL @ 5:00pm ( Kochuveli - Yesvantpur Garib Rath slot)

This should be made 5 times in a week by canceling 12683 since both follow the same slot as this will benefit many pax.
12683 has sleeper class if it's cancelled and this Humsafar is made 5-7 days how is it justified in fare wise
One way slot ( BAND till ERS) is same, but return both have diff slots so not possible. ERS-BAND can easily be extended to SMET to utilise the idle rake lying in SMVT for almost 15 hours.
