In the vicinity of electric traction, probability of spotting these roaring monsters has been always degrading. The heavy diversion of trains causes inconvenience to the passengers as well as to the crews. In the mean time, few buried treasures gets uncovered which goes unnoticed by the daily commuters. The image of Indian Railways deteriorates infront of the passengers when all of a sudden, a well reputed service gets unimaginably delayed, that too pulled by a standard-class diesel locomotive. As a result, travellers end up calling them as slow diesel gurgling machines. Including a relative of mine, who missed his cataract surgery due to his train's delay. Afterall, the shooting stars are only meant to glorify those who look up at the sky.. isn't it?

Trains running off their usual tracks cause problems for passengers and crews. Sometimes though, folks find hidden treasures they wouldn't spot normally. But if a fancy train is super late and it's being pulled by a plain diesel engine, people get angry at Indian Railways. They call 'em slow diesel machines that just make gurgling sounds. My uncle missed his eye surgery cause his train was late. But hey, shooting stars are only for people who look up.. right?
