As per information, SER started talks with SCR and SWR to remove Slip coaches inorder to convert the ICF rakes of 18047 Amravati Exp to LHB coaches and convert it to Superfast Exp.
If it happens soon it will be a good move beneficial for passengers.

SWR should speed up trains on BAY UBL LD FEDL line now. Trains run horribly slow here.
See here itself 2 hours speed up is possible for 18047. 248 kms in 6 hours 2 minutes it's a joke of a TT. Also removal of slip means LC can be shifted to UBL and it won't have to waste 40 to 60 minutes at GTL for the stupid slip attachment and detachment.

18048 needs new slot much more arrival time at SHM is too odd. Should be speeded up like:
VSG dep. 6.30 am
SHM arr. 9.00 pm.
Also is DVD halt necessary now that the train goes to VSKP ?

I think a lot of that section between GNT and Dhne is a ghat section. But I agree being FEDL trains need to run faster. GTL UBL absolutely tremendous speed up is needed. I think MPS here is 90 kmph and it clearly needs to be increased.

I have seen instances of 18047 running as high as 1.5 hours late at GID reaching GTL on time but then getting late at GTL again coz of slip attachment and LC and then SWR delaying it further in BAY UBL section.

We cannot change this train to LHB as this site is not affiliated to Indian Railways. This is a site run by rail enthusiasts.
As far as this train is concerned just see my screen name. I'm a die hard fan of this train but sadly this train carries slip coaches between Guntakal to Vasco Da Gama untill and unless those are cancelled this train won't get LHB rakes.
This is the longest running ICF train of SER zone now unfortunately still there are no positive signs of the slip getting...

Also second problem with the slip is this is a high in demand train but due to slip coaches number of coaches in the train have been restricted to only 19 that too without a pantry car for such a long 40 hour journey.
