Travel in economy for more then 10-12 hrs and then just visit your nearby 3rd ac coach, one can feel the difference between two classes. Elimination of ac three tier coach is a poor act. Overnight journey trains can be filled with economy coaches but long runners should not.
i have travelled in 3rd AC Economy in 22159 when it first started running with LHB Coaches from 23 feb, and i returned by 12164 in 3A.
The difference between 3E and 3A is a lot. 3E has narrower walkways in the Coach, and the footspace is also a bit less than 3A.

Increasing general sleeper is a good step in this train as I have heard that all the train will have increased general sleeper from existing coach composition from next three month.But one bad decision NFR done that they reduced 3rd ac tier and Increased Economy classes which shouldn't have been done it will cause some comfort issue with most long journey travellers.What they will do with 8 3rd AC coaches if they are reducing it ?
Plus the economy coaches which were build initially were more or less good. The modified or new economy coaches their quality of berths are absolutely pathetic. However both are not suitable for long distance travel untill unless one believes in sleeping only.
I don't think they are going to increase general. Sleeper increment is a welcome decision but this scam for people economy coaches is the worst thing that a train can have.
