Metre Gauge Magic: Nanpara to Dudwa by BRK-MLN Passenger - Part 1 (Jan. 31, 2018) : This video is a continuation of a journey that began at Bahraich, a couple of hours earlier (video - click here Our loco developed a snag at Nanpara, which necessitated the attachment of a second one in front. So, we had twin-YDM4s in charge from here on, except that only one was live. Enjoy the passage of the train through the Katarniaghat Wildlife Reserve as well as halts at Raibojha, Mihinpurwa, Kakraha Rest House, Murtiha, Nishangara, and Bichia. There are a couple of crossings as well - at Nanpara and Murtiha. The second train has an inspection saloon in cream-blue livery. Also, don't miss the smooth acceleration out of Nanpara with the track to Nepalganj giving us company for some time.

Metre Gauge Magic: Loco Ride through the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary (Jan. 31, 2019) : Since our entire trip had been organized in conjunction with railway officials, we felt it would be a good opportunity to enjoy a loco ride.
So at Bichia, Ajai and I decided to hop onto the lead loco for a short ride to Manjhra Purab, the next station. Along the way, we crossed the massive Ghaghra river on the Girijapuri barrage.

Metre Gauge Magic: Nanpara to Dudwa by BRK-MLN Passenger - Part 2 (Jan. 31, 2018) : After getting down from the loco at Manjhra Purab, Ajay and I went back to the guard cabin to join Vishnu and Samar. The four of us continued to relish the unhurried pace of the journey till Dudwa, our destination. Along the way, we halted at Khairatiya Bandh Road, Tikunia and Belrayan, where a Bahraich-bound train was waiting for us. It was interesting to cross a defunct station - Sonaripur - within the 29-km block section between Belrayan and Dudwa.
