This train should be degraded to M/E category for the third class TT it's given in ET NZM ET section.
12779 has scheduled overtakes by 6 SFs and 1 Rajdhani just between GWL and NZM.
12780 has overtakes by 4 Rajdhanis, 2 Durontos, 1 Garib Rath, 3 SFs and 2 Humsafars between NZM and ET.

I would vouch for a TT change, arriving early in the morning at around 3:00 or 03:15 at NZM. This can avoid all the OTs and can be given a TT reaching 57 kmph avg. The advantage of the current schedule is that it gets a 2 nights and 1 day schedule, which should be maintained for convenience purposes. Return journey should depart after CSMT Rajdhani, trailing Telangana SF, for a faster schedule. Since Vasco YPR is getting LHB coaches, I would suggest a RSA so that it will get some more sleeper coaches. Otherwise without RSA it can get a 2 day 1 night schedule for PM purposes. So that In the morning VSG YPR is maintained and they can maintain Goa SF in the night.
Posts from yesterday afternoon suggest renumbering which may be removal of SF status to M/E by either slowdown or increase in speed limit to 60kmph. Just wait for few days another 15 days to get clear picture what they are going to do in TAAG July 2024.
I don't think it's getting a speed up now looks like this TT is permanent it's been 1 year since LHB conversion but no news of speed up or TT change.
So better Railways just degrade to M/E also if you see average speeds 12779 is 55kph and 12780 is 54kph.

I saw those posts but even if they don't increase SF average speed to 60kph this train doesn't deserve a SF tag coz average speed in DN direction is 54 kph and also gets overtaken by multiple SF trains in both UP and DN directions. If SF tag then it should get SF like priority no otherwise it's just pseudo kind of thing.
When you see that Govt is downgrading OG SF Trains & They don't bother with slow TT SF trains

12779/80 Goa express was supposed to get 4 SL coaches in place of AC coaches (to make it S1-S6 totally) ,from when this is to happen? Or the decision has been reverted?
It will get from June. Now it's running with 4 GS and 2 SL coaches.
