#VabhadighiCrisis Vabhadighi or Bhabadighi village is located in Goghat-1 subdivision of Hugli district in West Bengal, India. It is situated 3.6km away from sub-district headquarter Goghat (tehsildar office) and 84km away from district headquarter Chinsurah(Chunchura).Confusion regarding Bhabadighi railway project is over, claims Indian Railways. But the locals are vocal about this. Historically Bhabadighi is associated in Mahaprabhu Sri Chaitanya Deb Gouranga & Mahaprabhu Sri Ramkrishna Paramhansadev. Both of them drank water from that Large Pond as per local belief. So making Railway line by the side of Bhabadighi is being protested. The owners of the Pond Bhabadighi requested the Railway Department to follow the original plan of railway line, which followed a more straight path (which would run around 70 feet north of the Bhabadighi), while connecting Goghat with Kamarpukur Stations to resolve the issue in the greater public interest.
