With LHB conversion of 18047/48 planned this year there is a high likelihood that this train may get introduced if SWR and RB have no objections.

Most probably these guys have got hold of SCR IRTTC proposals this year and published this.
There is some mistake in the article too the train proposed will follow the slot of HYB VSG exp but in VSG HYB direction the timings are wrong the train will most probably dep VSG at 9.00 am and arrive SC 6.20 am.

If someone has SCR IRTTC proposal then it would have been more clear.
Seems like with the LHBfication of Amravati on cards, SCR is actually planning a dedicated train between Hyderabad and Vasco. Perhaps 17419/20 can also be regularised without a slip, again depends on SCR.
Good that a dedicated train will continue rather than a few coaches long slip. Will be interesting to see SWR's response, if it is routed via their golden goose CLR, QLM route.

It's done in SCR slip trains to avoid confusion even slip coaches of VSG KCG carry similar numberings. VSG TPTY numberings are like A1 B1 S1 etc.
If this article is genuine and SWR actually clears the train then it will be a great news finally SCR will get a full dedicated train running on the route once belonging to them and also a long long pending demand to run dedicated train will be finally fulfilled.

The slip system itself should be discontinued and this train should be run as a full rake between HYB and VSG.
For TPTY VSG connection the MAS UBL via RU GTL should be extended to VSG once a week.
